Recently I picked back up into fitness by tracking caloric intake. The biggest challenge is when dining out or traveling. I wanted a compact sized companion without taking a large scale. The scale uses 2 AAA batteries. You have metric or English standard, as well as grains, etc. The Backlit display is great when lighting is dim. It is very accurate, and more than adequate for me. Placing a small tea saucer I can place food potions and weigh them. There is a clear plastic cover to prevent major trauma to the display and buttons. It is small and lightweight enough for pocket carry. The price is excellent. It is easy to operate, adjust units and Tare to rezero the scale. It does exactly what I need it to do.

It takes a few back-and-forths between reading the instructions (typical for Chinese products) and fooling around with the scale to understand how to use it. But, once understood, the instructions do help. The fact that the scale is in a lidded container makes it perfect for kitchens, insofar as there's always spray and ambient pollution in any kitchen. Despite that the scale is small, it's a powerhouse for measuring spices, pasta, and grains up to 16 ounces. (Also measures in grams, etc.) If you do a lot of cooking at home, I strongly advise buying one of these puppies. It takes up very little room on the counter, and delivers lots of benefits.

I travel full time and wanted a food scale for weight loss. This one works great and I love most that it has a tare button to zero out previous additions. It can be hard to balance a bowl or anything larger on it and still get an accurate reading. You can pop the cover off and that helps. But you have to balance its portability vs. functionality - there's going to be a trade-off one way or the other. So, since this is so small, you lose some functionality.

I bought this scale because I love to bake. But, my standard digital scale won't capture weights under 4 grams. In a baker's world, it's not unusual to have to weigh less than 4 grams of ingredients. This little guy does exactly what it's meant to do. It's very sensitive and picks up the lightest powder ingredients. It's accurate, easy to clean, and compact enough to store anywhere or even carry it wherever you go.

Scale is a portable size and pretty light, you can easily carry it in your pocket. The cover, however, is terrible. You really need to pry it to get it off, and you're worried it's going to snap when you do so. I find it is easier to push from the bottom hinge first, and then the top hinge, but it still is scary to try. Batteries aren't included (it warns you of that in the description, but that just feels cheap to me) and it has fingerprints/scratches on the sensor before I even opened it. Did I get a returned one, or do they just mess up at the factory? The screen being backlit is nice, but it's just excessively bright. So bright, it hurts my eyes. If you turn the light off, it will default to on the next time you turn the scale on. Not a bad scale, but I can probably get a better one with a little more looking on Amazon.

Very easy to use and change to ounces. I am going on a cruise and needed something to stay on track with my food choices. Small enough to fit in my purse when I go out to dinner. Perfect for my needs. Does not come with batteries, so you will need 2 triple A batteries.

I really like this when I remember to carry it with me. Perfect for weighing food at restaurants.
