We had another cheese slicer and it went walk about at some point...not sure where...but we needed another and shopping on Amazon turned up this Boska model. We liked the rating and we very much liked the one piece stainless construction. Ordered it and have been nothing but pleased with the purchase since getting it. We've used it on alot of different block cheeses and every has slice every one without issue. As expected, it is easy to clean and we're using it quite a bit with great results every time. I sort of wish it had a little more heft...it's really very light, but my wife loves the weight. In any case, it does what it's supposed to do and does it very well. Construction is excellent and despite the light weight it is not at all flimsy, but quite solid when using it...not too much flex at all. Very happy with this purchase and would order again without reserve.

If you love cheese this is for you. This slicer slices the best semi hard cheeses to the perfect thickness. A must have for anyone who loves cheese. It’s made well and is perfectly sharp for your cheeses.

This is the best slicer for hard cheeses. It is very smooth and easy to operate. I highly recommend this if you are looking for a good cheese slicer.

No learning curve. Thickness of the slices can be minimally adjusted by varying the pressure. Little effort needed for nice slices.

My favorite cheese shop has a similar slicer than produces such lovely thin tastes but this is the second similar looking model I've tried and either I'm not using them correctly or they're just not as sharp and effective as pro models, because I tend to end up with either a sliver, or a stuck chunk of cheese. This is dishwasher safe and feels of decent quality, with some weight in your hand and a solid handle. So very well could be user error here, but have yet to find a cheese that this works well with for me.

I love this slicer, my parents had one similar that's about 40 years old and it still works great. Slices the cheese in just the right size, thickness etc.
