Dico 50-4 Flap Nyalox Flap Kit 4-inch Assorted Nyalox Flap Brushes, 3-Piece,Small

I just finished up a Shou Sugi Ban farmhouse table for my wife, and I have to say these sanding discs performed fantastic! I used all 3 grits, but eventually just used 80 and 120 since the higher grit wheel was taking too long. This project was for an 8ft table using 4-2x10s so it was a LOT of wood to sand. I ended up buying a hammer drill so I could just set the trigger and use both hands to guide the sanding. It was allot of elbow grease and many hours of work, but it turned out amazing. I wanted a really deep grove look and feel with the natural yellow pine and decided just to add several coats polyurethane for the finish. I sanded in between the first few and final coat with the 120 grit wheel and the final coat looked like glass which was what I was shooting for. Overall these things worked great. My only caution is if you use them for a while and attempt to reverse the drill direction you will pit up the wood and possibly loose a few string/hairs in the process.

They all work great but the grey one is definitely the best one. I’ve been using this product for a couple months now and I already have to replace the grey one. Honestly probably just continue to buy the grey one only.

I bought these on the recommendation from a YouTuber (Inspire Woodcraft) I watched while researching decorative shou sugi ban. They work like a charm. The wood texture you get after charring and brushing is absolutely amazing. The time and energy saved over hand brushing is invaluable. Just like sandpaper, using the different brushes in order of coarse to fine provides clean results. Definitely will buy again when I wear these out.

UPDATE: Before my defective brush was hardly gone, they sent me replacements. Great custoimer service! Using this on wood but gray wheel throws brushes and is worthless. The gray wheel throws its brushes every time you start it spinning in the drill. They are so loose in their base that even wrapping the base with tape does not keep them retained.

Used these in my impact driver to clean up the live edge of a walnut slab after removing the bark. Does a great job of cleaning up the edge without removing the “character” of the edge like sanding would do. Works much better than a wire wheel.

Works well. They only lasted me about a year but I used them a lot. And for the price I think it’s a great product.

Using for Yakisugi, works well for that. Leaves scratches in wood but great for a rough look. Just sand with paper to fix that. Ala in all, very pleased with items. Would by again.

We ordered these recommended by a youtuber and had to realise the first time using them they are rubbish. First time trying to brush a piece of wood you switch on the drill and the parts (brushes) are flying off. Ridiculous EUR12 were charged for the shipping, likely to make you think twice if you return the garbage they sell...
