Floyd FROFTB32 Rose Original Fat Brass Tremolo Block 32mm

Bought myself an original Floyd Rose after having my guitar’s old trem blocked (hard tailed) for the longest , my old trem just wouldn’t stay in tune ! But anyway after installing the Floyd I was happy to finally have a functioning trem but something about the tone felt off compared to how it was when it was blocked . The notes felt kind of lifeless , they’d fade away quickly and it just sounded dull like something was missing..I bought a 42mm block and now it is alive again ! I know there’s a lot of skeptics out there and there are some people who say this stuff is a waste of money but I’d argue that in some cases installing a big brass block is similar to installing new pickups . I highly recommend getting the biggest block you can fit for the most noticeable difference ! The thin brass blocks out there don’t make much of an audible difference , bigger is better in my opinion . It also helps darken a guitar if it is too bright , if your guitar is already dark sounding it will actually make it sound even darker . The tone now sounds richer , more sustain and less thin . If you’re skeptical give it a try , especially if you have a trem loaded guitar that sounds like it’s lacking something . It’s worth a try !

I put this on my B.C. Rich Warlock. Quite a difference from the puny block that was on there. I've had brass sustain blocks on my guitars for about 10 years, but until now I always paid double for them. Glad to see Floyd Rose are now producing them for half the price. My tremolo was the R-Loc, which is the OFR design, but under license to B.C. Rich. It fits perfecty. I removed the buffer plate altogether for closer contact. Upside: more sustain, every note is more articulate. Downside: you'll hear every mistake you make. Upside to that is that it'll force you to focus on more precise playing. However, if you have crappy pickups, this thing will let you know.

I would be amazed if this item wasn't good as usually Floyd Rose is. Ideally balanced weight and dimensions to fit, easy to install (FR is my favourite LEGO). Great sustain, therefore it functions as needed.

Item arrived just as described. This is a great tone enhancer, and I noticed a difference in tone and sustain right away.

Massive difference in tone, sustain, and weight!

Awesome little block really adds sustain. My Floyd is the “special” (cheap) version. The block it came with is thin, wimpy, and made of pot metal. Despite that, the guitar sounded pretty good. However, after adding this brass sustain block, the guitar sounds much better. More punch, more clarity, and of course more sustain. Totally worth the price and effort. Just make sure you order the right height so it will fit into your tremolo cavity.

32mm fit perfectly in my ML style guitar it did make a difference in tone and sustain you can just hear it and feel it. Only thing it did not come with the 3 screws not sure if it was a mistake or it comes like that but I had extras so it’s fine but if I didn’t it would be a problem

An inexpensive upgrade that makes a difference. I installed this on a Floyd Rose Special that came with my Jackson SLXFMG Soloist. It made a definite difference in the sound and the sustain compared with the block, who knows what it was, that came with it. I was surprised to hear a difference in the distorted tone as well. While I'm not a huge fan of active pickups, the EMGs in the guitar had different tone with the new block even in high gain settings. Very pleased with the purchase. Someone answered in the questions above that it would not work on a Floyd Rose Special, not only does this disagree with what is on the FR website but I'm attaching pictures for verification that it works. For the Jackson Soloist you need the 32mm, anything larger won't fit correctly. It doesn't turn a special into a solid steel original... but it brings it much closer for not a lot of cash.

Montato senza problemi su di un Floyd Rose Original, non ho notato grosse differenze a livello di sound, solo un leggero aumento di volume. Il movimento del ponte potrebbe risultare leggermente limitato dal maggior spessore del blocco, tenetelo a mente! P.s.: se volete abbinarci un sistema Tremol-no è necessaria la versione "Large CLAMP"

Le quedó como anillo al dedo a un puente Schaller. El de 32mm es ideal para guitarras de cuerpo delgado, de lo contrario ya no se podría colocar la tapa trasera en caso de quererla

Der Block beeinflusst positiv den Klang, wobei die meisten wahrscheinlich keinen Unterschied erkennen.
