I am very disappointed with this purchase. It took weeks to come and although it was just a tiny package, I had to collect from my local post office collection centre and pay £11.40 'Not paid by the sender'. The product itself is not as good to use as I expected. Longer stubble gets caught up in the foil and can snatch at the hairs. It really only seems suitable for short stubble/one or max two days growth depending on the individual. I bought it to keep in the car but have already given up on it after just a couple of uses. It's not even as though it's reasonable value when you add on the additional delivery charge and the fact that I had to drive to collect it and pay. A bad experience.

I bought this for use as a travel shaver and, having used it for over two years now, I have to say that I think it's brilliant. Firstly, it's small and compact, and easy to pack as it's battery operated so no mains cables or adaptor. Secondly it's more than sufficiently powerful - I use two reachargeable Panasonic Eneloop 1900 mAh AA batteries with it, but any standard heavy-duty alkaline AA batteries should work fine. Thirdly, you can buy replacement cutters and foils on that other online marketplace at a reasonable price.

Excellent shaver, was bought as a lightweight travel shaver and is perfect

Fantastic little travel razor. It actually shaves closer than my larger Braun unit at home. In fact I use this at home a lot to get those hard to get places a larger shaver misses sometimes. Very small and light so great for travel. Take extra AA batteries for long trips.

This is the second time I am buying this model of travel shaver(the first this time on Amazon). The first shaver lasted nearly 4 years. I was fully satisfied with it. I use it every day as a secondary follow-up shaver, after first completing my shave with a regular sandwich blade wet razor and thoroughly drying my face. I find it excellent to remove the left over shorter stubble, especially in the nooks and crannies around the nose and mouth, and also generally all over the face. In the end, you are left with the smoothest shave ever. I had to discard the first shaver because one of the two battery contacts - the negative pole contact of the battery slot on the left hand side after you open the case - broke. I found that the battery placed in this inner slot wasn't fitting tightly, resulting in a loose contact, and the shaver needed to be shaken every now and then to get it working again. I find this same defect in the new set which I have bought. Perhaps it was the constant vibration of the shaver working on the loose metal contact over a period of time which led to it snapping in my first shaver. I have solved the loose contact problem in the new shaver which I have just bought by placing a thin strip of transparent flexible plastic sheet over the two batteries before sliding the battery cover shut. I think the manufacturer needs to address the problem of the defective metal negative contact, as also the cover not fitting tightly over the batteries after it is slid shut.

Does its job smoothly

I am impressed. I normally shave my beard and head, so I have tried a few different shavers. This one feels nice on the skin, to hold in the hand, and also gets the hair right to the skin. This shaver is small, but does a great job (hair must be short or it won't work) It runs on two AA batteries, the only improvement I could see is they made it so you can charge it. But if it lasts decently I for sure will get another.
