What is the difference between this and the 450C, besides it being a few years newer?

They redesigned the tweeter. The tweeter is now vented and the horn shape was refined, both to provide a more clearly defined high end.

How does this compare to the sound quality of the rp-450c? it appears that the only difference is the vented tweeter and trim. $200 worth?

Might be some subtle differences, very unlikely you can distinguish from both.

My center channel speaker sits on my floor and is angled to be at ear level,thats what I have read, works good for my listening . I used spacers to get correct angle.
