I have purchased the 5" twist sticks (chicken flavor) several times over the past 3 years. My furry best friend likes this particular size and the American brand better than all other brands and size of rawhide chews. I tried the American brand 3" rawhide rolls, but the pencil thick diameter twists are by far the favorite. I rate the item highly. I give it 5 stars.HOWEVER, BEWARE!!!The seller of my recent reorder only gets 2 stars. Why? Because the quantity of the 5" twists in a bag and the cost. Previous orders arrived in a 1 lb bag containing more than 60 twists. The cost approximately $18.My recent order, which was a buy again item, arrived with only 25 twists for the same price. I was expecting a 1 lb. bag like previous orders.Before you hit the Buy Again button, check to make sure that you are getting what you are paying for.

My Yorky puppy is an aggressive, aggressive teether. She was chewing on everything, including my sneakers and fingers until I got her these sticks. These are American made, which was important to me because I heard of two sticks from China or Mexico being contaminated with curing chemicals. She’s a little dog so it takes her a while to chew them down. This is even after chewing on them for 15 or 20 minutes. I’m really happy I can redirect her chewing to the stick instead of household items.

My Black Lab loves these. They can be a bit messy when he drools on them, leaving a brown tinge on the carpet so I make him eat them outside. Recommended.

So, luckily for me I have two dogs and I then cut these in half to give one to each dog.One dog (bassett) took it and the other (APB) sniffed and didn't want it, but reluctantly would take it.This happened repeatedly. Finally, yesterday, I smelled the treat for myself and the very center, where it is curled tightly, smells like chlorine or some other chemical process.I tossed the rest. Will not buy this again.There process is obviously NOT DOG SAFE. But it profitable.DO NOT BUY THIS. VERY HEAVY CHLORINE SMELL.That means only one thing: CONTAMINATION.
