Fantastic product. But of course know and respect you are getting cast iron tawa
Its an amazing product. Before you choose a cast iron tawa, there are many options available so make sure the tawa surface is not polished/machined. If it is machined it will not work properly for many many times. I experienced this long back with my old no-brand tawa. So I chose this tawa since its surface is coarse almost like sand blasted, which is ideal for dosa. 2nd choose the handle mould is thick. Dont buy tawas with thin handle mould. It can easily break. So again another reason why I chose this vs others. See case iron is brittle almost like ceramic. So handle and maintain with care. Of course it is iron, iron will rust immediately. It should be immediate if you live in coastal regions such as Chennai/Mumbai etc. So make sure you oil it front, back, handles and keep a tiny coat of oil always. Of course you have to first season before use. (refer many youtube videos). But even after seasoning first 3-5 dosas, keep putting and disposing. Since they do not come initially well. But eventually you should see it works amazing. It is what you are paying for. It is a quality of cast iron. Respect its a direct quality of "Shani" (astrology) as Iron is his element. So lot of delays eventually you get its fruits. Maintenance: Once you are done with initial use. Just wash the warm tawa with running tap water and once cold put it inside a plastic/paper bag and store it safe. DO NOT SOAP WASH frequently, else you have to start once again seasoning, disposing few dosas. So if you are buying any brand cast iron, you just first think and commit yourself. Its not like non-stick tawa, where it works fantastic for first 1 year, later it never works. Its a Rahu's energy(astrology). Its fake, pretends to be working eventually its just for short-term. Once when you buy always check for any defects and cracks. If you find any issues return/replace. Hope this helps your buying decision :)

So far so good
Have bought this product recently and have already used it a few times. Here are few of my suggestions and observations: + Tawa is super heavy as it is made of iron. Quality is good but avoid if you are not comfortable with handling and lifting a heavy tawa as this doesnt have any handle and you have to lift it with both hands. + Even if you season it as per instructions given with the product or online there could be a scenario when your food item will still stick. Do not worry, just put water on the stuck food item and scrap it off with the given wooden spatula. Use it a few times and it will stop sticking eventually, it took me 4 tries. Pro tip: After seasoning, do not right away start with a thin food items like a paper dosa or a masala dosa. Try to make thicker items first like uttapam, use it 3-4 times and when you are sure that it has become non stick, start with thinner items. As we all have the habit of using non stick pans, this could be a learning curve and would surely need some patience to make it work but once done its health benefits and crispyness of food item will make it all worth it.

Authentic
I have come to purchase another one to take to my parents and saw I purchased this in Dec 2022. I use it every day and have no problems with rust or sticking. It requires a little care such as, not leaving it wet and not leaving food on it. Definitely worth the money for durability and quality.

Some Items Were Missing
It says the wooden spoon was to come with it. But that didn't come and only one rubber holder was given. Slightly disappointed on that front. Otherwise the pan is good and heavy. Worth the buy if you get all that was promised.

Sturdy and perfect for every cooking.
Sturdy and perfect for every cooking. I’ve been using this cast iron tawa for the past 15 days, and it’s been a noticeable upgrade from my previous cookware. The build quality is solid, and it feels heavy and durable, which helps in even heat distribution. It heats up quickly and retains heat well, so I can cook multiple batches without the tawa cooling down. The seasoning has improved over these days, making it naturally non-stick for chapatis, dosas, and parathas. I’ve noticed that the food browns beautifully and cooks evenly without hot spots. Cleaning is fairly simple—just warm water and a gentle scrub, followed by applying a light coat of oil to prevent rust. The only point to keep in mind is its weight—it’s heavier than non-stick pans, so you have to be careful while handling it. Also, since it’s cast iron, you need to maintain it regularly to keep it rust-free and well-seasoned. Overall, in just 15 days, this tawa has already started showing its potential to last for years, and I expect it to get even better with continued use. Highly recommended if you’re looking for traditional, long-lasting cookware that improves over time.

Used it a few times to make dosa and chappati. Washed and dried it as per instruction but mold and rust accumulated on it.

Been making me perfect dosas & Gee roast for about a year now. The mistake i did was i did not season back of the pan which made it to rust but after removing rust when i seasoned both aide well its doing amazing so far.
