What I like: 1. Very well built. This watch is very sturdy, much more that what you'd expect for a $16 watch. Everything -- the face, strap, buckle -- is strong and well-built. 2. Cool design. This is a good-looking watch. The face is just the right size -- not too small, not too big. Minute markers are clearly marked. I like the hour markers (1-24, military format). 3. Accurate time: I've had this watch 4 days and it keeps time very, very well. 4. Awesome value: For $16, this watch is a bargain. I'd expect this watch to sell for $35 at least. What I don't like: 1. Faulty Date Indicator: The date display doesn't advance as designed; i.e., I'm not able to manually advance the date. And yes, I followed the instructions and pulled the crown to the first stop. Date does not advance. 2. Only one color? I'm not crazy about the military green. A lot of military gear comes in tan/sand/earth tones. I'd like this watch better if I had more color options. Overall: This watch is good, not great. I like most things about this watch, but if it doesn't function as it's supposed to (the faulty date display), then I'm disappointed. UPDATE May 6, 2020: The seller replaced the faulty watch with a watch that works perfectly. The date indicator was a small quibble, but now this watch is superior all the way around. Cool design, accurate time-keeping, bargain price. The seller's customer service people are outstanding. Thanks for going the extra mile to make this customer happy. Five stars *****. Review: Great watch for the money! - I have worn the watch for a little over a week now. The watch arrived securely packed in a box with no apparent damage. Start up was easy - simply remove the plastic piece behind the stem, adjust the time and push the stem back in. During the time I've worn the MDC, it has kept accurate time compared to my other dressier watch. It is comfortable and classy looking with a satin finish case. The word "Infantry" is printed on the clasp. I did not evaluate the watch's waterproof capability since I don't wear my watch in the shower or swimming; however, I did not take any steps to shield the watch when I washed my hands and occasionally splashed water on it with no apparent problems. The MDC could benefit from having a stronger dose of whatever allows it to glow in the dark, as I was never able to read the watch in total darkness. It could also benefit from having slightly larger hour and minute hands since the dial is pretty busy with a lot of other characters. All in all, the MDC seems to be a great entry level watch for a very reasonable price tag! I will take great enjoyment in wearing it in the future.

Great watch for the price, just don’t beat it up!
I loved this watch, fit, finish, band quality, and price. However, I accidentally caught the hand dial knob on some clothes on hangers I was removing from a closet, and ripped the knob from the watch. It would not go back in, a fluke- yes, but I broke it good. For the price, I would recommend buying this watch, just be very careful not to rip the hand dial knob out from the watch casing, Sarcastically he said.

Watch
The watch has held up and done great, size is perfect with the glow face. It is nice but does dull rather quickly. Has had a good battery life so far, haven't had to cha ge it at all. Functions as it should and I cannot hear the tick tick tick. So works for me and I even sleep with it so no pro lem there

Great watch for so little money!
I liked the look of this watch when I bought it and thought how bad can it be? To the contrary I was very impressed as to how good it is! The fabric band is lightweight and comfortable and after a while of wearing it you forget you have it on. It was smartly designed for long term wear - the holes are reinforced to extend band wear life. The watch is strong, durable and reliable as well as easy to read. I accidently hit the face a couple times with no scratching. It's layout is very clear and easy to read, and unlike so many watches now - it has a sweeping second hand. The watch case is not heavy either. I have only had it 3 days but wore it heavily in those three days and I am very impressed with the look, feel and durability of this watch.

Do Not Buy
Had the watch for a week, the adjustment knob broke and came off. Spend your money elsewhere.

A decent, functional watch for the price. Just don't expect anything fancy.
There is a lot I want to say about this watch. The TLDR for those who want to cut to the chase is that it is a fairly nice, functional and serviceable watch for the price so long as you aren't expecting high-end/name-brand watch quality and features. The watch looks decent and works well, which was all I was looking for on my tight budget. Anyway, let's get into the full review. This MDC watch by Infantry isn't a bad watch at all for the typical list price. At around $26, it's actually a pretty good watch for the price and has features other more expensive watches don't usually have. It has a stainless steel case, mineral glass crystal and 50m water resistance (the water resistance worked as advertised for me). Watches at similar/slightly more expensive price points usually have brass cases, acrylic crystals and 30m or less water resistance. I personally have a much more expensive name-brand watch that has an acrylic crystal that gets scratched fairly easily. So, on the surface, it looks like a pretty good bargain, and it is for the most part. It's relatively attractive watch that is very easy to read. It's styling is very similar (intentional or not) to a specific Japanese-made field watch series which I personally like a lot. The stock nylon bands look fairly nice, seem good quality and are pretty comfortable. The time has been very accurate so far, which was the most important thing for me. Overall, I have been and am mostly pleased with my purchase of this watch. With all that said, there are two glaring issues I had with this watch. The first was the crown. The crown extends a good amount below the bottom of the case. This obviously looks tacky and poorly designed, but, more importantly, it can make wearing the watch uncomfortable in certain positions. Specifically, the crown would always dig into my wrist when I folded my arms or laid my hands down on something, like my laptop, below my waist. This was really starting to bother me, so I decided to try swapping the stock bands for a nato/zulu style strap to see if that made it more comfortable. This is where the second big issue came about. This was by far the hardest watch to replace the straps on that I have experience in my lifetime of owning watches. The first reason is that the spring bars are shoulderless, which basically makes a spring bar tool useless. The second reason is that the spring bar tolerances (how springy the bars are) are very low. It just doesn't compress very much at all. I tried removing the bars with dental floss and the floss broke before they even budged. It was such a pain. I was finally able to remove one with a spring bar tool, but I severely damaged the bar in the process. I didn't want to damage the case of the watch, so I just cut off the second spring bar with wire cutters. For a watch that came with an offer for a free watch strap (which Infantry did not honor by the way), they sure made it incredibly difficult to swap the bands. Anyway, once I did remove the stock bands, I was able to replace it with a zulu strap. As I suspected, this indeed made the watch much more comfortable to wear, and it looks pretty good too. With the main issue I had with the watch being resolved, I must say that I am fairly pleased with it after a couple of months of ownership. So, if you are looking into this watch, you might want to look into getting a nato/zulu strap for it and some spare shouldered spring bars. Overall, despite two glaring issues, I have enjoyed owning this watch and it has been working very well for me so far (two months). It's a decent watch, especially for the price. Just don't have unrealistic expectations and think this watch will compare favorably to established watch brands. With that said, you are getting some extra features some of those brands don't offer at similar price points. I think you can do worse than this Infantry MDC watch, but you can also obviously do much better.
