I was looking for something that my HYPERallergenic dog would eat that wasn't processed chicken, beef (anything), or contained dairy or grains. She turns her nose up at cod and wolf-fish skins, and so many salmon treats are just little flakes or crumbles. THIS ONE is perfect, though!!! Finally, she's excited again in the mornings to get a treat after going outside. It's been so sad watching her feelings get hurt because she didn't like everything else we've tried, but WINNER, WINNER, SALMON DINNER, y'all! These are thick and she loves the taste. They last for a decent time, and she can get her chew on in the morning! Do they stink? Yes, they're dried up fish. Just open the bag for one, give it to your dog, and seal the bag. Problem solved. These are small -- about 2" by 1" -- but they're very hard, so they will last with my dog for a good five minutes (lots of chewing!). I would not recommend them for big dogs, as I could see them attempting to swallow them whole. (Ouch) My dog is a terrier mix who weighs about 22 pounds.

My dog is a very finicky eater, but as soon as she saw this treat she ate it right away and loved it. No stinky smell. Soft enough to break with your hands, yet very light and crispy. No worries about the roof of the mouth getting cut or teeth getting cracked. Firm, light and crunchy, yet doesn't crush easily resulting in breakage or crumbs. This is one treat my dog didn't have to smell a lot and inspect before trying a small piece. Great dog treat! So glad I found it. A healthy, high quality product to safely feed your bff with comfort. Stores well in fridge.

The rating is for the treat only! We got these for a training class so we cut them into smaller pieces. Not sure if this is a product issue or an Amazon storage issue as Amon never responded to my inquiry. The first bag we got they were firm yet some what flexible. Perfect!!! The last two bags I got were so hard I had to use a tin snips to cut them down. The package expiration date was many many months pasting when we got them which leads me to believe it’s an Amazon issue not vendor issue. Little pricy buy boy does our dog response quickly when she knows she is getting these treats.

My boy loves these cod snacks. They are easy to break up and even though they seem hard at first, my dog has no trouble chewing them. In fact they kind of melt into his mouth. When I bring out the package my boy becomes very excited and they are clearly his favorite munchie.

Schnauzer loves them. Clean all salmon a bit larger then I thought for my mini so I cut them. Very fishy

In the past the product has been crunchy, semi soft and my cats loved it. The current package I received was stale, hard, dried out and inedible to my cats. Package was deflated not sealed . I can't break it with my hands. No smell to it. Because the item is not returnable, I have to start over, and apparently not with this brand. I won't spend $13 on something that's not the same consistency. It wouldn't rate one star...
