It’s helped maintain her kidney status being good as well as keeps her from vomiting her food up, most of the time. Review: Helped save my cat - It all begins waking up in morning to find that cat is curled up in bathtub (never has done that) looking so sad, listless and didn’t want to be touched. Thought he had a bug of some sort, monitored him that day and he was getting worse. Was able to get him to vet first thing next morning, after blood work, exam, etc.. was told we should put cat down. The cat was in kidney failure, had no idea cat was having any issue, did not know the signs. Anyway, vet (Dr Death) says “let’s do it now”. We refused, asked if any other option is available, the vet suggested the emergency care for IV fluids and whatever goes with it, but also said it most likely will be useless. Long story short.. Cat came back and it was a struggle to get him to start eating again and drinking water. He refused to eat any moist cat food, zero appetite for it. Started hand feeding him Gerbers turkey, beef, chicken gently warmed up in micro wave, used an eye dropper to get water into his mouth. I’m here to say that manual feeding a cat was brutal for us, torn up hands, arms... I had been doing research about this disease in the meantime and came across AminAvast. Read some reviews and decided to give it a shot. The stuff the vets sold us the cat would not eat, crushed up the pills and would not touch it. Received the AminAvast, well, the cat would not swallow the capsules, tried everything and again came away all sliced up. Finally, took a 2 oz eye dropper bottle, pulled capsules apart, (about 6) and put the AminAvast powder in the bottle, added water. Each time we hand fed the cat I would squirt several eye droppers of the mixture in his mouth, getting his hydration and vitamins, each week he progressively got stronger. Was able to stop hand feeding, then I put the AminAvast powder from the capsules directly into his water dish and he would lap it up... 7 months later he (Juneau) is eating great and drinking plenty of water. Now twice a day I break apart a capsule and mix it into his food, nuke it gently, mix it with water to a very moist stew and he eats it all up. He’s playing, bouncing around, on my lap constantly, in fact lives in my lap. Anyway, he would not even touch any of the vet provided products, zero, no matter what. I have to credit AminAvast for helping with his nutritional recovery.
