I wasn't sure if this would work as I was losing about 170ml of coolant a day and had water in the oil. I used this product as directed, took it for a few miles drive, let the engine cool and topped up with water to the fill line. I checked the coolant level after a few days and it was ever so slightly below the fill line. I can still smell exhaust fumes inside the cabin when idling which suggests that exhaust gases are seeping into the heater matrix so it hasn't fixed it fully but I think it may have bought me a little time. I'm scrapping the car soon anyway I just need it to survive another few months until I can afford another car.

I had a leaky head gasket and was hopeful Steelseal might fix it. I followed the instructions fully and even tried the additional instructions for when you have coolant baj pressure. Nothing worked even a little. Total waste of time and money.

Empty your coolant out and flush with water then fill with water pour in steel seal and let it get upto temp so thermostat opens then after 30 mins turn off and leave it till next day then start car go for drive and it should work!

Not sure if it’s done anything, still losing water, still got gas in the expansion bottle.

I did some research and there would be no problem for them to make the chemical more concentrated and not required two bottles. £80 As it is the chemical that is not at maximum saturation point otherwise they wouldn't be able to dye it yellow. The money back guarantee has more get out clauses than budget car insurance 🤑 Nonetheless the crux of it is the product seemed to work

Underbar produkt som verkligen funkar

Hab es beim Audi Cabriolet 2,6 von 1994 angewendet, da die rechte Kopfdichtung einen Schaden hatte (Kühlmittel gelang in den Brennraum von Zylinder 3). Es hat einwandfrei funktioniert. Hab 4 Monate danach erst die Kopfdichtungen erneuert. Bis dahin lief der Motor wunderbar ohne weiteren Kühlmittelverbrauch.

Non ha funzionato su una Punto 188 1.2 8v del 2000: la temperatura dell'acqua sale ed entrano gas combusti nel circuito del refrigerante, perche' la guarnizione di testa e' rotta. Pur avendo drenato il vecchio refrigerante e usato solo acqua e SteelSeal e pur togliendo il termostato per far circolare subito il liquido, non ho ottenuto la sigillatura. Peccato perche' chiedono 450 euro per firare la guarnizione di testa.

I used 2 bottles in my ford 289 V8 as recommended. Did the entire procedure of warming up and letting idle etc. As I started driving at proper speeds my engine quickly overheated. Turned out that instead of blocking any leaks in my engine it completely blocked my radiator, which cost me 20 times the cost of the bottles of Steel Seal….. and no solution
