Leather Trapper Knife Sheath

I purchased one to try and have since bought every member of my crew one. I even have started giving new guys a new case knife and McDaniel sheath as a welcoming gift. A sharp trapper knife easily accessible is safer and more effective. When working cattle and around the ranch you can’t always reach in your pocket. I will keep buying them as long as they are available, quality, comfort, size and value are excellent.

So, to give perspective, I have worn holes in weather tech floor mats inside of a year. Having said that, I wear this knife holder on my belt every single day and have for four and a half years. I haven't really dealt with other knife holders and honestly, and as long as these are available I never will but I have a strong suspicion that I would never find an equal or better quality product. I ordered one for my son four and a half years ago as well. His still looks new. I'm guessing he is closer to average in the way he wears things out than I am. The sturdiness, stability and comfort are unmatched. If you carry a knife, buy this sheath! It is top quality and you can't beat the price!

I bought this sheath to carry my edc flashlight in. I like as few things in my pockets as possible, so this seemed like a great option. I have not been disappointed. This sheath is made of thick quality leather, not cheap thin leather that you find on some of the cheap Chinese sheaths. The stitching is nice, the color is nice. I am sure that this will last many years, if not a lifetime. I liked this sheath so much that I bought another larger sheath for a buck 112 that I had. The flashlight I carry is a klarus mi7, it uses a single AA battery. In the other pictures I have things next to it to give an idea of size. The 3 bladed knife is an old timer 340t. Overall this is a great sheath, using great materials, at a great price. Best of all it is made in TEXAS, USA. What more can you ask for? I would definitely not hesitate to buy again. And on McDaniel Custom Saddles website he says that if he does not have a sheath in a size that will fit your knife, then you can call him and give dimensions and he will make a custom sized sheath. Two thumbs up!

I purchased this for myself as a birthday gift to myself. The sleek and slender style is great. It fits nicely in a conspicuous way. People dont even notice I'm wearing it.

I was skeptical because I dont carry the knives that people were talking about usi g to carry in this sheath. I bought it and I am impressed. It fits all kinds of knives. I did the hot water trick to give the sheath a more custom unique fit around my knife and to loosen it a little bit to make it easier to pull the knife out. I got this because in the summer I wear shorts for work and hate the way knives fit when clipped in my shorts and then the knife sits awkwardly in my pocket so I wanted something to fix that and this did it. You dont even notice it. Its sleek, looks professional and seems to be very sturdy and well made. I wish I would of ordered the initials version. I have it on my right hip. It doesnt interfere with going into my pocket at all. Not to mention you can carry your knife anywhere now and not have it in your pocket.

Update: I’ve had this for a little over two years now. I believe I have worn it on my belt everyday since receiving it. I am more happy with this sheath now than when I received it. The leather has not worn, no issues with the dye, the stitching is still in perfect condition and most importantly my knife fits as securely as it did the day I got it. I’ve been through 3 belts in the time I’ve had this sheath. I seriously could not be more happy with this product.The level of quality and craftsmanship is second to none. The fit and finish on the sheath I received is perfect. This is the type of product you have for the rest of your life. And it is made by a man in Texas. I am beyond impressed with the sheath I received. Case Trapper 4” fits perfect.

Love this sheath for my small Benchmade folding knife. I use a lanyard for an easy pull as when you are wearing it on your belt the knife is pressed in nice and snug so no danger of it falling out. This is a very high quality leather product and the maker takes the time to stamp in their markings on the back as a sign of the pride in craftsmanship. I wear it where the label is on the back of my jeans so it blends in nicely with my belt/jeans. I am sure I will be ordering several more for my other EDC’s. Good stuff!
