ZilactinCold Sore Gel, Medicated Gel 0.25 oz ( Pack of 4)

Years ago I bought a tube of 'Zilactin' for an emerging cold sore on my lip from Walmart. When bothered by another cold sore start - I went back to Walmart for 'Zilactin' and they did not carry it anymore. So I went to Walgreens they did not have it either. Zilactin worked so well for me. It comes in a tiny tube and you cut off the end and squeeze the medication just where you need it to be. The medicine is clear - so it won't show on your skin unless you start messing with it. It suppressed the want to itch and kept the cold sore from ever breaking the skin. It is an amazing product! I went to CVS - they don't carry it. Then Amazon dawned on me! Granted - I do not need 4 tubes (because 1 tube will last a very long time) but this is the only buy option - and I know it works wonders so I bought it. Again!

I've used this product for years and it really works well. it soothes the pain and heals it much faster than any other product I've tried. Works best if you remember to put it on a couple times a day.

zilactin is great stuff, if applied as soon as you feel the first sign or tingle of a fever blister coming, most times, for me, the blister doesn't come up, i've been using it for many years and will continue to do so, just get it on there at the first little tingle or sensation that you know one is coming, if you miss that window and the fever blister comes up it will still help to shorten the life of the blister, zilactin works, put a little dab on your finger or q tip as soon as you know it's coming and then several times a day

For whatever reason, my kids and I all get ulcers, not cold sore but ulcers, frequently. This product is the only thing I have ever found that provides any relief. It burns when it first comes on, and you have to reapply from time to time, but it does give relief. The gel cauterize the ulcer and leaves a film over it, which protects it. I think it also speeds healing of the ulcer. I order multiple tubes at a time, because the tube is small the kids have a tendency to stick it in their pocket and then they lose it. Not a cheap product, but a good one. Very hard to find at a store, even the pharmacy typically has to special order it.

This is the only thing that works fast, especially if you use it the moment you feel a cold sore coming on. I had a cold sore three days ago, and my lip is already healing. Others have complained about the sting, but that only happens when the cold sore is already open and painful. And yes, it may temporarily scab (Part of the healing process), but wow, it works better than anything else we've tried. Seriously. This stuff is awesome.

This doesn't work nearly as well as the liquid

A co-worker turned me on to this 20+ years ago. Works better than anything else I've Ever tried. Purchased on Amazon because I was unable to find it Anywhere Else!!! This Alone is an indication that it works. If it didn't work that well - you'd be able to find it at all the big box stores and any drug store - like once upon a time I was able to do.
