Good powder, incredible price, strong fragrance
I snagged this powder in two versions (translucent and translucent extra coverage) for under $3 apiece. Even the usual $6 price tag is an absolute steal. It works very well, and with 2.3oz per canister you get at least 2-3x more than what's offered by most brands. I have fair, combination skin with neutral to cool undertones, and the start of some fine lines around my eyes. No major discoloration or blemish issues, just the occasional spot. I apply this lightly with a velour puff over moisturizer and SPF, or occasionally over a BB cream. It evens out my skintone, mattifies my T-zone, and doesn't amplify my lines or break me out. It also provides a little bit of an airbrushing effect, so IMO it really does work as a light foundation if you're not looking to cover anything major. Really oily faces would probably do best with the extra coverage. My combo skin does fine with the translucent, but I tend to prefer the extra coverage; it's not noticeably heavier and I think it mattifies just a little better. Unfortunately, the scent is so strong that it can be overwhelming. I was honestly a little taken aback when I first opened the package. After using it daily for a few weeks, though, and generally with a pretty light hand, I found that it grew on me. Also be aware that the #1 ingredient is talc, if that is of concern to you.

GREAT PRODUCT!!
I LOVE this setting powder! It makes my face looks so smooth and instantly less oily. It also smells AMAZING. It has lasted me over a year and I’m not even close to being done with it. I have sensitive skin and it does not bother it at all. Overall a great product.

Extra Coverage Translucent Powder on extremely oily skin
Overall I'd say this extra coverage translucent powder is better than my Laura Mercier translucent powder. I've used this powder a dozen times since purchase so I have a pretty fair experience to review this now. For more details keep reading on. Design: Upon arrival, I had no issues opening the plastic seal covering the sifter/holes containing the powder underneath. There was no leak, all product was contained. There's a big cotton puff, which I tossed because I'd never use it on the face knowing it can easily harbor bacteria and cause breakouts. I think it can simply serve as a mechanism to prevent spills or leaks, since the lid is not a screw top and a bit easy to come loose and the sifter has no other means of being sealed. Because of this, I'd never attempt to travel with this powder. The risk is far too high for what it's worth. I'd be mad if all my other toiletries were smeared with powder. Effectiveness: color, coverage and duration of oil control are satisfactory for my extremely oily T zones, including forehead, nose, eyebrow areas, and cheek area surrounding the nose. I have sand colored complexion, and I prefer a matte and light toned skin. Highlighters look horrifying on my skin, that's how oily I am. This extra coverage powder has a pinkish tone when initially applied but I don't mind it. My skin looks matte right away. I do look a bit cakey if I examine my face closely, BUT same result using Laura Mercier translucent powder. With both powders, I usually use a damp beauty blender to apply a decent layer over my oily areas mentioned. After 6 hours, Airspun reveals some oil back to the face. See photos before and after 6 hrs. But again, Laura Mercier translucent powder revealed even more oil within the same timeframe. I find that Airspun does create more of a dust cloud though. Try not to breathe it in. Plus the scent is strong like baby powder. I don't mind it personally. I have not noticed additional breakouts caused by this powder on top of my usual breakouts. Amount and price worth: huge amount of product, looks like it hasn't been touched after a dozen uses. I don't use a light hand either. I spent $10 on this, but I really don't mind because it's the extra coverage version and so much product, it will last me over a year for sure. And it's still 3x cheaper than Laura Mercier. Overall, Laura Mercier doesn't compare in effectiveness and price, and the only reason I use it is for traveling, and to use it up before it expires. I'll only purchase Airspun from now on.

Pretty darn awesome.
I heard great things about this product - I watch a lot of Youtube beauty channels, especially Patrickstarrr who uses this frequently. It was always on my mind to get it, but never got around to it. After browsing for some new products, I saw this and remember how inexpensive it was and that Patrickstarrr uses it to bake and set his face. I thought to myself, "I'm getting this." And let me tell you, it does wonders. I love the packaging - it's so simple and easy. I'm happy the product came with the powder puff because I've never used it over the years of doing my own make up so I thought it was fun to use something different. When setting my face, I immediately noticed how soft it made my skin look and feel. It was amazing and I don't even use primers or pore filler products. It is pretty darn awesome. Since I got the translucent coverage, it didn't seem to effect the color of my foundation besides mattifying it and giving me flawless-looking skin. One thing, however, is the scent. I did not know this powder had a scent. And it was probably my fault for not reading the ingredients list, but I was so hyped I didn't even bother. I don't mind the scent, but it is very potent when first applied. Eventually, it will go away but the first hour or so of having this powder on, I could smell my face. Is that just me? It's a scent that reminds me of the 60s in black and white films. It's definitely not a problem for me, but having a fragrance in powders never crossed my mind. And by the way, the girlfriend of this account is writing this review. :D

Just as good as the Laura Mercier setting powder.
Setting powders are fairly new to the drugstore, as most products of this type tend to only be made by expensive brands of skincare. Before starting to use this product, I was using the Laura Mercier setting powder which was fantastic but crazy expensive. When I read from an influencer that this product is a dupe for the Laura Mercier setting powder, I was really excited to find something a lot more budget-friendly so I ordered this product the same night. To my surprise, this product performs just as well as (if not better than) the higher end setting powders sold at Sephora and Ulta. The packaging is adorable and the price tag is very reasonable. The powder is easy to apply and, if applied correctly, doesn't make a big mess. The smell might be a little unappealing, as it smells like baby powder, but it doesn't linger for long and doesn't bother me at all. For those sensitive to the smell of baby powder however, this could be a problem. In terms of the performance of this product however, it works amazing at setting my makeup and making my complexion look even and smooth. I apply it with a brush and let it sit on my skin for a few minutes before tapping it in with a beauty blender. It works wonders at keeping my foundation looking perfect during a 10-12 hour work shift. I would highly recommend this product to anyone, especially people with large pores and oily skin like myself.

Gives your face a polish and natural look !
What a great alternative to typical foundation for those who do not have major issues to cover ! Coty, a long world known and faimos brand. I've been using Coty products for 40+ years and I was never disappointed. This Coty powder is very fine and smell wonderful, giving your face a polish and natural look. Little secret when using powder - After you applied this powder, bring your palms close to your mouth and blow "steam" on them (as you would fog your eye glasses before cleaning), and immediately pat your face, do this several times, as necessary. If any traces of powder were showing on your face, after the patting of the "steamy" palms, it will all disappear. This Coty fine powder also last many many years without any degradation.

I heard amazing reviews on this through amazon and youtube so I ...
I purchased this because I was on the hunt for a cheaper alternative to my Laura Mercier Translucent Powder. The three things that I look for in a translucent powder are: 1) it doesn't flash back at all, 2) it is finely milled, and 3) it will last all day (or about 10 hours). I gave it 3 stars because of the packaging, smell, and longevity of the powder. I heard amazing reviews on this through amazon and youtube so I thought I should give this a try in hope that it would be my new found favorite. Packaging: My initial thought on the powder when I first opened it was that, it is messy. The top cover isn't a twist on/off, you just pull/pop off the lid which can sometimes make the powder fly everywhere and it then makes it inconvenient for me if I want to go traveling with it. I'd have to find another container to put it in or I'd have to tape it around because I wouldn't want to risk it opening up in my bag and spilling everywhere if anything were to happen. Smell: The second thing that I noticed right off the bat was the smell. I'm not one to be picky with scent, I sometimes enjoy when there is a scent however the Coty AirSpun Loose Face Powder has a very intense smell in my opinion. I actually try to avoid using the powder because of it. I thought maybe after a couple minutes my nose would adjust to the scent but it lingers for a while and it's become too much for me. Because my face is fairly sensitive and acne prone, I worry that the scent or whatever ingredient is put in here to give it that smell, may break me out. For the most part it hasn't but I haven't consistently used this powder long enough to know whether it does or not. Longevity: As for the longevity, I would say that it is okay. It holds for about 4 hours I'd say? I only really use powder to set my under eye concealer from creasing. I don't use a thick concealer, and whenever I use this product by the time I get home from school which is about 4 hours of wear time, I notice the outside corners of my eye have concealer bunched up. I could easily pat it out with my finger but that sometimes removes the product or requires me to reapply and I don't prefer to carry any makeup on me when I go to school for only 4 hours. I would also like to mention that I have normal to dry skin but have minimal to normal oils on my T zone by the time I come home from school. When I use this product on my T zone, I still notice a lot of oil when I come home. I would say that this powder is very finely milled and it does not flash back at all so I do appreciate that a lot. On a side note, because I was somewhat disappointed with the powder mainly because of longevity and smell, I purchased the RCMA No Color Powder and that has been my go to.

Been using this stuff for years - light coverage, easy to use,for peaches and cream complexion
With all the powders available to buy these days, it's sort of surprising I continue to use my original loose powder and not the mineral powders available everywhere. I have tried various mineral powders, but when it comes to choosing one when I apply my makeup, I end up using this one. From teenagers to age 40 something (eh hum), I've been using this translucent powder and never once had any adverse reaction to it. It never clogged my pores or gave me acne. Over the years, and even today, I have been told I have a peaches and cream complexion. Although my skin isn't blemish free anymore (I do have a few darker spots), they are not noticeable with a light layer of foundation and a light dusting of translucent powder. Lately, I have been using it on my teenage sons acne, and although talc is not recommended for acne, it hasn't made it any worse and does a good job of covering without looking thick. For him, I pat his face with damp hands after applying so it looks completely natural and still covers acne spots. NOTE regarding other reviews regarding made in China claims and that the product is different - the container is no longer cardboard and is not as pictured however the product within is the same. I remember so clearly in high school when Long and Lush mascara formula changed and I stopped using the mascara completely because it was so different. It no longer washed off easily and just wasn't at all the same. I am so picky about these types of changes! With a face powder, I would definitely be able to tell if it was different or working less effectively. IMHO, as of today, it is the same exact product I used in high school, keeps my face shine free, blemish free, smells exactly the same and is light and fluffy like sifted flour. As for the product packaging, I prefer the plastic container. Do I wish it was still made in the USA? Yup I do. But it definitely is the same quality product inside as I remember and have been using for YEARS.
