Franklin Sports Replacement Volleyball/Badminton Net

We stapled these nets over our eaves to keep swallows from building nests. The nets worked okay on our narrower eaves. We used shade cloth for the taller, wider portions. These nets were highly effective in keeping the swallows from nesting in our eaves. They have made huge messes across the back of our house for 11 years, raising multiple broods of chicks early spring to late fall. Swallows are awesome, but their nests took a toll on our roofing. We had a new roof installed this spring, before the swallows returned, and we haven't gotten the replaced eaves primed and painted yet. Last year, our cat learned how to get on the roof and loved to bat at the swallow parents coming back to feed their chicks. This flustered the birds and caused them to knock their own nests down, resulting in 7 chicks perishing. It's a $10,000 fine if you disturb an active nest, so we decided to prevent them this year.My disappointment about the size stems from my own negligence to read the description carefully. I was thinking of the old nets from my childhood that were about 3' long.

Described as volleyball or Badminton net, should leave off the volleyball description for this item. This net is neither large enough nor strong enough for volleyball. Luckily, we bought this net to use in backyard badminton bashing, works well for this activity. Appears well built but time will tell. Works well over PVC heavy wall pipes, just over 1.25"dia pipe, with eye screws and your all set. For the price and our use, this was a good purchase.

this is okay and it did the job. i bought it as a temporary fix for my swimming pool since we already had the poles i only needed the net. it's not anchored very good on there but it has held up all summer so im happy with the product. it saved me a lot of money and kept me from having to buy a volleyball net for the pool which are very pricey

Just what I needed to replace my old badminton net. Not going to be used for volleyball. Seems to be a little lightweight to be rammed by a heavy ball.

My hubby is very happy with this new net. We have the pretty cheap version that comes in the badminton/volleyball set and he said this is way better in quality than the set. There are several to pick from on amazon in the same price range, so not sure what you're going to get. This one was work it and should last better.

I bought one and after tw9 weeks of use the sleeves tore apart. Since the price was lower than the competition (Paid 6.55) I purchased another one and did a slight modification. You need to get two 1/2 inch light weight PVC tubing and insert in to both sleeves to re-enforce the sides of the net.

We had a small water volleyball set that when I pulled it out to use again this year, the netting disintegrated in my hands. So, foound this and ordered it....good price! We were able to adjust this net to fit our smaller volleyball set up and it worked well for a big family party with people of all age's using it.

It was smaller than expected and seemed extra light. However, it performed admirably and hasn't broken yet.
