I read the ingredients....because the lable said dried fruit Poppyseed....nothing else... it doesn't list anything else on the Amazon description of ingredients Soooo disappointed Opened it and its got fruity smells and taste Going to mix it with real poppy seed ,see if I can get rid of the fruity taste

highly recommend it, ridiculously expensive but if you want to try Polish grandma's original recipe, this is it.

I have used this poppyseed filling in the past. It has a great flavor and texture and personally I don't find it requires any adjustment. I used it to make makowiec (enough filling for 3 rolls about a foot-long each). HOWEVER, this seller (Fabulous Deals Ever) did not provide adequate packaging for the product. They sent a metal can in a flimsy PAPER MAILER. My can arrived with multiple large dents, so I cannot safely use it anymore. Unfortunately, the product is not eligible for replacements either. Very disappointed.
