I replaced my water fuel separating filter on my Volvo Penta 4.3 engine and it seems to be working well

Direct fit for my 2005 Volvo penta 5.0 GL

Filter was an exact match for my 2003 Four Winns 240 w/ Volvo Penta 5.7Gi-D (aka a marinized and fuel injected Chevy 350). Easy to change out for the old one.

Thing is, V-P have proven it pays to replace w V-P parts for quality. Our 4.5L we tuned up w new Volvo Penta plugs, wiring harness, fuel n oil filter, and fuel pump and engine is purring like a kitten, no joke! I made mistake getting (at first) another brand of wiring harness which said would fit and learned the lesson. Stick w VP parts and the quality and durability are there!

I believe these are worth a few extra dollars as after cutting on open they definitely have more surface area to catch any debris

It works Grest ! But next time I will get the Volvo extended Length Filter. The OME on this 2005 5.0 GXI is short making the removal & Installation cumbersome due to the small space and clearance between the fuel pumps and the fuel line you have no way to grip the filter especially when you have pre-primed the Filter with gas. Volvo has a technical bulletin on the extended Filter ! Other than it being so short it works fine !
