Quality, craftsmanship, and small investment
Works great so far while testing a soft plywood and the Douglas Fir 2x4 I had lying around. Very simple to guide and move along both surfaces. I’m between projects at the moments so I haven’t had the chance to use it to its full function within the process of woodworking. What I can say is that it was sharp enough for sure to get the markings. The overall tool is light weight and easy to use. I like that there are spare blades that come well packaged in their own individual container. The rod, brass, and blade come in their own wrapper as well. I think some kind of mini case will go well with this type of device so now I can probably cut my own up using this little guy. As someone who has really spent a good amount on tools this year as the woodworking has ramped up, my thought process with this purchase was to invest in tested and respected products. Based on reviews and YouTube University this is one of those pay for the good stuff so you’re not regretting it in a month and paying more out later.

It makes me want to believe I.
After years of cutting up sheets of XPS foam with a snap blade knife and a carpenter square and never the whisper of a 90°edge on any cut I've ever done... This is my first marking guage and right away I immediately started noticing more way more accurate cuts. I'm sure the new tabletop hot wire cutter it arrived with played a pretty big part, but overall my accuracy and precision are night and day. Quality is great! Price felt fair, even in December 2025 dollars!

Worth it?
Idk if it's worth the $25 I spent, but I can say it is a quality product. Sturdy, heavy, smooth, easy to read, and came with extra tips. Locks in solid as well.

Accurate, easy to use woodworking tool
If you are a confirmed carpenter then you already know how useful a marking gauge is. If you aren't, then this is a great tool for scribing lines parallel to a straight edge of a piece of timber. You tighten the brass guide at the desired measurement and then run it down the wood, scratching a shallow line with the small sharp ring at the end of the rod. Make the first scribe shallow and concentrate on keeping the guide against the edge. Repeat to get a clearer impression. The rod itself is steel and sticks nicely to a magnetic tool holder. The ring has a flat side that stops the tool rolling off the bench. The marking are accurate and it is possible to be just a little better with small measurements than using a ruler and pencil.

Works very well
I've found this marking gauge to work very well. It's sharp, the tightening screw/clamp is secure, and it glides well along the board. Very happy with it.

Easy, fast, and precise marking tool that's a high quality must-have for woodworkers.
This is a well-made, precise marking tool. It's a great value for the money. Once I got it, I wished I had done so sooner. It really improved marking precision and speed for me.

Value For Money.
That is a very good product. The weight of the tool is ideal and nice to handle. The markings are clear and readable. The icing on the cake is it comes with one blade mounted on the tool and two ( 2 ) spare blades with mounting screws in a plastic bag. Buying this tool is a good deal.

Does as promised. I used this often for marking where I need to cut. Leaves a minimal mark, less obvious than pencil marks, etc.

Completamente recomendable.
