Practical sewing kit that combines portability
This sewing kit is incredibly convenient thanks to its small size — easy to store and carry wherever I need it. Despite being compact, it has everything I need to make repairs to my clothes, from needles and thread to scissors and other essentials. The quality of the items is solid, and it’s perfect for quick fixes at home or on the go. It’s saved me multiple times when I needed to patch something up quickly. Overall, this is a well-designed, practical sewing kit that combines portability with all the essentials. Highly recommended for anyone who wants a reliable kit for everyday clothing repairs.

Yes!! If you're looking to upgrade your sewing kit
l had just bought the shirt at the Store. And the first time I wore it out for the day was at a kid's birthday party. I noticed the tear on one Side of the Shirt, but not the other. It looked like one cut it with scissors very deliberately and it was unraveling at the seams. I tucked it in for the rest of the party But I do have a psychotic roommate. So I wouldn't put it past her especially since I didn't notice the shirt until I was at the birthday party oddly and awkwardly unraveling despite all that. And focused on the kit I am happy with the color options the thred. I like the the sewing needles that have are two-toned which does make it easier to see and they are prettier and easier on the eyes. Also I like the other items that it comes with, I have never also never experienced such a sturdy needle threader. I decided on the llamas because it stands out. It is a small kit, that I would like to keep track of. The llama and color design helps it not get easily misplaced. Perfect for traveling or Storing in drawer. I'm not an expert at sewing but I this is a good lil sewing Kit. Before this, I only ever bought sewing kits from the dollar store this is definitely big upgrade for a few extra dollars

Tight, compact, varied, useful, well-organized sewing kit
This is a great little sewing kit for people who don't sew, keeping in the workplace, going away to college with, keeping in your car, etc. I appreciate the compact size of this sewing kit and pouch and the variety of contents inside. So far the zipper is solid and easy to use; it has not gotten caught on anything yet, and it seems sturdy. The little loop makes it possible to use a small carabiner to hook the sewing kit to a carabiner or hook inside my backpack for ease of location (if I wish). The travelability of it is such that I plan for the small kit to live in my backpack for work; I have already mended 2 things with it! The ring-thimble is a great alternative to the cap thimble, and I am liking it quite a lot. Most of the needles have very small eyes, and some are insufficiently perforated so that, with those needles, it is impossible to thread them. This is a real concern, and I wish there were a few more shorter needles with eyes that could be more easily threaded (or threaded at all). The thread colors are varied and excellent. The thread itself, however, is of *very* poor quality and it frays while sewing (just mending), and therefore tangles quite a bit. The organization of the kit is good, and everything is accessible but also carefully contained. I love that the needles are in a little plastic circle case; it allows me to find a needle without stabbing myself. A couple of the needles seem to be defective, as not even the needle- threader seemed to be able to pass through the eye. Because of these tiny needle eyes, the needle threader has been incredibly valuable (especially with my aging eyes...although a teenaged student also couldn't thread those couple of needles).

Handy and compact
This Coquimbo Sewing Kit is one of those little essentials you don’t realize you need until you have it. The compact size makes it perfect for traveling, keeping in your car, or tossing in a purse or backpack. Despite being small, it comes with everything you need—threads, needles, scissors, buttons, and more—neatly organized and easy to access. The quality is great for the price, and the case feels durable and secure. It’s definitely a thoughtful and practical gift idea for Christmas, stocking stuffers, White Elephant exchanges, or even for teens and beginners learning basic sewing skills. Overall, it’s a convenient, well-stocked kit that makes life easier when you need a quick fix. Highly recommend as both a personal essential and a go-to gift!

As Expected for the Price - good for traveling and small fixes
Arrived today, so I cant yet say how strong the thread is (I will add to this review if any problems arise), but it is a decent little kit - for the price - for taking on vaca for small jobs. Referring to some points made by other reviewers: yes, the thread coils are quite small. But they appear to have more than enough thread to do a few simple jobs each. And there are two each of black and white, and three of light beige, which somewhat compensates for the lack of length. You will eventually need to buy more thread. By small jobs I mean re-attaching buttons, hopefully sewing a hatband onto a felt fedora (why I got it), but I wouldn't expect it to sew up a large rip in pants. As to difficulty in opening the case with the needles, there is a tiny piece of hard-to-see transparent tape securing it in place. This must be removed. After that, the black back piece is pretty easy to remove from the transparent part that actually holds the needles. When you remove that back piece, make sure it is/was on the top side, and hold the case perfectly flat, so no needles will not fall out even if the "hole" happens to be aligned with a needle "slot". Assuming needles dont start falling out, look at the side edge of the transparent part (it is opaque in places, but not the black backing.) You will see a gap at one point. To remove needles you need to rotate the transparent piece until the gap is over the "exit" slot for the needles you want to use. It is fairly difficult to rotate, use two opposing thumbs to turn it. Keep the whole thing level horizontally while you are turning the plastic, because whenever the "gap" goes over an "exit slot", if it's not perfectly level a bunch of needles will fall out. As a beginner, the hardest part is getting the thread into the needle. This kit comes with two threaders, which help a little but its still difficult for an old fogey like me with shaky hands and non perfect eyesight to do. The biggest help for me is this very useful device I got somewhere a long time ago, maybe at a surplus store, a jewelers loupe (?) which is a thing with a strap that goes around your head, a little light, and a strong magnifying glass that goes down over you eyes. That brings intense magnification to bear while leaving your hands free. But you probably wont take that on vacation, so, get a pair of strong reading/magnifying gasses (get them at a dollar store, they are way too expensive elsewhere). Also, the thimble is a ring with no top, which may actually be more useful than a regular one since I push the needles with my finger tip, not the top of my finger. We'll see. Thats a pretty long review for a $7 item, and I will add to it after I actually try it. OK,adding now after first use, sewing a hatband onto a felt hat. First, the thread is weak. It broke on me once when pulling through the felt. Thread is fuzzy, obviously not a strong polyester. Also, I was wrong about their 'ring' thimble being OK. A real thimble works much better. You get what you pay for.

Excellent for the price point
This Coquimbo sewing kit is much more practical than expected. It comes neatly organized with a wide variety of thread colors, needles, scissors, buttons, and small tools that cover most basic sewing needs. Everything has its place, which makes it easy to grab what you need without digging around. The case is compact and sturdy, making it great for travel, keeping in a drawer, or tossing into a bag for emergencies. I have used it for quick clothing fixes, loose buttons, and small repairs, and it has handled all of that easily. For the size and price, this kit offers excellent value and is a smart item to keep on hand.

Love it
Very nice kit! It comes with everything and I haven't had any trouble color matching the thread so far. I really like how many different needle sizes the kit came with. It's also super compact so I can throw it into my backpack or suitcase when I travel (which is also when I always seem to rip a hole in something). Much cheaper than replacing damaged clothing!

Worth the price
I bought this to surgically repair my dogs favorite toys. I am not great but the kit comes with more colors than I will ever need, plenty of needles ranging in size, and seems like a quality kit. It has more than I thought would come inside the little kit.
