So much better than ones I've purchased in the past. The thickness of the sponge not only holds the water all but also the structure of the plants. They are sturdy, long lasting, perfect fit for my unit, very simple and easy to use. They are also functional when it comes to moving from hydroponics to soil. This makes the transplant process significantly easier. I will definitely purchase them again in the future.

So far, so good. I have planted lettuce and tomatoes. They have grown beautifully and I have harvested some lettuce. The planter is well designed and the instructions are well written and helpful.

Dryades grow sponges and nutrients for hydroponics plant food comes with 24 pieces of grow sponges, 24 seed pod labels, a plastic tweezer and 2 bottles of food pellets. These are compatible with most brands of the hydroponics platers. I use these for aerogarden. These grow sponges are little smaller than the original ones. My photo shows the comparison. But once in water, it expands to fit the pod perfectly. These are pretty nutritious soils which helps in faster germination. The plant food pellets have to be converted into liquid when needed. We have to be pour water into the bottles up to the given measurement and shake well to make it liquid. Once this is done, we have to finish it in 5 months. The unopened bottles have a shelf life of 5 years. The lid has markings to measure and pour the nutrient food.Would be nice if they had given a storages bag. Overall it’s easy and effective to use these as a replacement.

Our AeroGarden broke (fell off a very high counter) BUT not before the seeds within these grow sponges had sprouted roots! It's very easy to hydrate the these grow pods (place them in warm water for 20 minutes or until the pods have fully expanded). Take a seed or two and drop in the pre-made hole. Cover the top with one of the included stickers to mimic the darkness of underground and allow for germination. The nutrients within the two bottles is nice to have but not necessary. They're more for pH balance. I find liquid fish fertilizer works best.

This kit includes 24 grow sponges and 24 sticker labels, as well as two bottles of food pellets. It does not include the plastic baskets to hold the sponges. This is a well priced kit for your hydroponic garden, especially considering it includes plant food. I found the stickers to be high quality, easy to remove and apply to each pod. These fit the standard size pods and I saw lettuce seed germination within 48 hours.

They are okay, not great. I did get my romaine to grow in them but the cilantro was a dud. Might be the seeds but I have been using aerogarden for a long time. Haven’t tried the fertilizer, as I have plenty to use. I’ll keep trying!

I wanted to do another round of planting in my little amazon special hydroponic garden and this kit had everything I needed after using up all the consumables that came with the garden to start with. The nutrients seem to be working fine and plants are happy. The sponges fit right into the net cups. I'd reccomend dropping them in to the net cups dry then wetting them so they swell right into place. Germination rates were just fine and as expected. Overall this kit was easy to drop right into my hydro garden and has given it a new start. The value is great on this kit for anyone who has finished the consumables that come with their Aerogarden or countertop hydroponic setups.

I did not like this product. I was unable to grow easiest cilantro.. something wrong. Its more rubbery
