Scalp Health Shampoo Bar for itchy, dry, flaky scalps with Oatmeal - Plastic-Free, Vegan, Cruelty-Free, 3,88 oz - Formerly Heali Kiwi

Having tried the sampler pack of the shampoo and conditioner bars I wasn't blown away with them but I did like them enough to make the switch from bottled shampoo. That is, I wasn't blown away until this shampoo bar (and the matching conditioner bar). Even after one use I knew this was the one. While I was a bit worried in the shower given my hair felt very clean and didn't feel super moisturized, the results after my hair dried were enough to convince me. My hair was so soft and shiny (and my waves looked so defined, I even had some curls! This has NEVER happened before!). Not to mention my hair was less frizzy than normal, which is HUGE for me! I've been able to go DAYS without my hair getting greasy: again another huge thing for me since I'm usually greasy the day after I wash my hair. I really hope they make this a permanent item because I'll be a forever buyer of this line! My hair type: Fine, wavy (2A/2B), frizzy, oily scalp and dry ends, chest-length Scent: As someone who isn't the biggest fan of lavender but loves eucalyptus, the way the bar smells is great. It had more of a natural/herbal scent than the other bars. The scent is far stronger on the bar and doesn't linger in your hair if that's something you worry about. After my hair dried, I couldn't smell either the lavender or the eucalyptus but it had a soft clean scent which I was okay with. Use: Having tried samples of Ethique's other products I found what worked best for my hair was as follows. First you have to get your hair super wet, for me I just leave my hair under the shower for 30 seconds or so then take the bar and create a lather in my hands and swipe that through my hair. I follow that with a rinse THEN take the bar and swipe it over my head (focusing on the top of my head, not the ends) 4 times. From there I build a lather in my hair and massage for about 30 seconds then rise. (I will note that my hair didn't feel as great as when I used a bottled shampoo but when I say this works, I mean IT WORKS). I follow up with the Kookabara conditioner (which I let sit for a minute or two) and rinse with lukewarm/cool water and that's it. Storage: I keep it on the side of my shower in a soap holder which seems to work fine since it's out of the water but I may invest in the Ethique soap container eventually. Just be sure to keep it out of the water (or shower if you can) as that may affect the longevity. Longevity: Having used this for 2 weeks, washing 3x one week then 2x the bars both look like they did when I bought them. This is going to last FOREVER! Pros: Cute sustainable packaging, purchase goes towards a great cause, longevity, ease of use, scent, light hydration, leaves hair SUPER shiny and voluminous Cons: Shampoo makes hair slightly tangled (my hair gets tangled super easily but I thought I would mention it) and it lasts forever? (I guess if you don't like committing to products this one isn't for you) Overall Rating: 9.5/10

I thought from other reviews getting this conditioner and shampoo into my hair would be difficult, and as a result, I definitely over applied and had to put some extra effort into rinsing 😂 I tend to have a hard time getting my scalp thoroughly cleaned, and the shampoo was definitely up to the task, though I can use WAY less next time I wash my hair! I actually have less build up than with my regular, liquid shampoo and conditioner. Since this is solid, I found putting a little more water on my hair after working some of the conditioner into it helped make it feel more like liquid conditioner, and easier to work in and spread around. It's winter, and I'm low maintenance and let my hair air dry, so I've still got some pretty big hair, but it's soft, and it doesn't tangle, which is a huge deal. I also rubbed a little conditioner into my hands dry after my hair was dry and used it as a leave on conditioner to take away some of the frizz and fly aways, and it worked great without weighing my hair down! The scent is very light and pleasant. Now that my hair is dry I can't even smell it. Definitely highly recommend both this conditioner and shampoo! Update: Just wanted to add now that I've used the bar up, it lasted about 4 months for my very long, thick hair, and I still absolutely love it! I'm still working my way through the conditioner, I think it will probably last about twice as long. I bought my mom who uses curly girl method the moisturizing shampoo and conditioner to try, and she really likes it, too!

I absolutely love this shampoo, it gets my hair so clean smells so great and doesn't wash out any excess color from my hair. I got the citrus one for oily hair. My hair is dyed I also don't wash it as much and this shampoo keeps my hair from getting to oily which is great. The bar conditioner that they also sell is horrible tho. I'm not obsessed with my hair but i like it not to be extremely damaged. even though I ordered the "too delicious" super hydrating conditioner it smelled....not good. And once dry winter hit i saw just how damaged and dry my hair was. I've been dying my hair for years and always kept it healthy but with this conditioner it got so danged. Because it's a dry bar if you don't rinse out all of it it dries in your hair tanging it really badly and that leaves no hydrating/ protecting product in your hair so it gets bad. Shampoo is fantastic tho!

Escuché sobre este producto a través de amigos que aman este producto natural sin químicos. No hay desperdicio cuando dejas caer el champú líquido por el desagüe. mi cabello esta mucho mejor.
