Kettler Giant Chess Set with Game Board

Just got this jumbo chess set a few days ago so can’t comment on lengevity/durability.High quality plastic. Each piece comes in two parts, and twists together (no tools). You could add sand or water for weight if you wanted. We are using indoors in the basement and the pieces are lightweight but not flimsy. I’m pleasantly surprised with the quality.The other kits we looked at on Amazon either had a nylon board or no board, so shop carefully. This one has rigid plastic squares (so breaks down easily for storage and is more durable than the nylon cloth mats).This set came in three very large boxes and arrived before the promised date. Easy instructions (don’t need; it’s obvious how the stuff goes together).All in all, I feel like I got good value for money on this set. Can’t believe I’m saying this-my son has wanted this set for 18 mos but I couldn’t bring myself to drop $550 on plastic objects. I finally caved and SO glad I did. Well made nice set and he just loves it.Also, when we ordered we had a couple of questions which were very promptly responded to.Thanks!
