I usually do no write a review, but I bought 3 of these coldest dog bowls for my neighbor's dogs. They are outside all the time with dog houses and are chained. I have been feeding them, cleaning up after them and give them fresh water everyday before I go to work for the last 2 years. The neighbor should not have dogs but where we live we have no animal control. I bought these dog bowls as they are not suppose to freeze. We have had temperatures in the 20's the last several days. They freeze up and are just as bad as the stainless steel ones that were out there. I would buy the heated ones, but they do not have any hook ups outside and sometimes do not have power going to their home. I was hoping you might be able to give me a suggestion on what can be done to prevent the freezing in the future.

I got this for my cats because I heard that cats like colder water to drink it must keep the water cold because I find my cats standing in the water with their front paws. Sometimes they just stay standing there quite content for 5 minutes. Other times it is as if every drop of water must be dug out of the bowl. The entire kitchen floor is covered in water a the cats are joyfully rolling and splashing in it. It may mean more work for me but I believe my cats love the bowl. Every so often I will find them contentedly drinking from it.

I didn’t know that a dog bowl would make that much of a difference. The dogs are drinking a lot more water now. Wilma and Betty love their water served fresh and cool. Great size bowl and sparkly pink! Well built and much less expensive, but not cheaper than other brands. .
