Any recommendations on what types of frosting work best for this type of decoration? Is it finicky? What works best?

I watched a tutorial on Cake Style about how to use the ruffle tips. The tutorial gave the perfect recipe for making beautiful ruffles. It's called Soft Stable Buttercream. Here s the recipe: INGREDIENTS 250 grams unsalted butter, softened 250 grams vegetable shortening 750 grams icing/ powdered sugar, sifted 1 teaspoon vanilla extract INSTRUCTIONS In a large bowl, on the medium speed of an electric mixer, cream the butter and shortening until smooth. Add the icing sugar, one cup at a time, until well combined. Gradually add extract until combined. The tutorial really helped a lot. You might want to watch it!

Can you use a regular coupler or do you need an over-sized coupler with these tips?

Regular does not fit. I’m not sure about the large one, I think it is to big. These are medium size tips. I do not use a coupler.

Is the opening of these smaller (tighter) than the equivalent tips for the u.s. market? what makes them better for the bean paste flowers? ty
