The TP-Link Tapo C100 is a fantastic little indoor security camera. Setup took only a couple of minutes, and the app is very easy to use. The video quality is sharp, even at night, and the motion detection alerts are instant. I love the two-way audio — it’s perfect for checking on my dog while I’m away. It also works smoothly with Alexa and Google Home, and having the option for cloud or SD card storage is a big plus. For the price, this camera delivers way more than expected. Highly recommend!

Great simple camera that doesnt require a cloud plan if you dont want it. Easy setup and easy to install a 256 gb that has plenty of space for my needs. This is mostly setup in a dog den under the stairs so I can monitor the dogs as needed. Biggest downside is field of view but I knew that going in, but for 15 bucks cant beat the price for what I use it for. Voice works great, the dogs actually look up when I call their names. Night vision is decent for what I need. Recording is nice to look back and see what they were up to earlier. Easy to setup on my wifi network mesh system. There is a slight delay when looking real time when away from home but that has more to do with my phones connection to the cell network or the guest wifi I use. Voice though is hit or miss when away from home. Overall would buy again and recommend it to anyone for an easy cheap camera solution. Also setting up multiple cameras on the phone is easy too.

For the price point, this camera is honestly very good. I don't use it for the "expected" use (baby monitor) but for something a little stranger (cat monitor). It has a nice, clear picture and a lot of motions can be recorded at once and sent to your phone. I will say, the night vision surprised me. I wasn't expecting it to be as clear as it was. Personally I reccomend picking up a memory card for storage to be safe, just to keep track of anything you want to save or back up.

Didn't expect much going in based on the price, but they work better than expected. These can record locally, so no need for a subscription. Be sure to get a microSD card as it is sold separately. Can't speak to the motion detection as I'm not using that function. Having had more time to use these now, one annoyance is that if you're using local storage, the App lacks a way to save/share/export the video when you're not on the same network as the camera. You can view it remotely via the cloud, but not export it to a file, which seems strange since the video has to be transferred through the cloud anyway. Setup is straight forward, but make sure you get the right app, there are many look-alike ones that just exist to push unnecessary subscriptions.

This is a great little camera for the price. I honestly didn’t know what to expect, but I’ve been very impressed with the picture quality. The video is clear and sharp during the day, and the night vision works surprisingly well, giving a clear image even in low light. I also really like the motion and person alerts—they’re accurate and notify me quickly. Setup was easy, and the app is simple to use. The two-way audio is a nice bonus as well. Overall, this is an excellent indoor camera for monitoring a baby, pets, or just keeping an eye on things at home. Great value for the price and I would definitely recommend it.

I'm actually blown away with how great this camera is for $18!!! I wish I had done this sooner. Now....I only need a small area monitored (my coop for ensuring the automatic door and feeder are working), but it is beyond perfect for what I needed, and works so much better than I was expecting. It connected to my wifi easily and the app is easy to use; I'm only using it for the live feed so I don't have any feedback on the paid plan or storage/recording etc. But the microphone and spotlight feature work great - see pics pictures at night, with and w/o the spotlight feature. If you want a simple, easy camera, that sets up fast and is idiot friendly (I am....no tech abilities what so ever), this is a great choice.

I've had people harrassing my somewhat quiet duplex apartment, but unless you can prove that with evidence like footage then nothing will get done. I had harassment like tapping on my windows, banging on my door in the middle of the night as well as pulling on my doorknobs after midnight. I can't move just yet so I have to catch the culprit(s) with the help of the good police and neighborhood watchmen. I will be buying a couple more of these as backup cameras. The vision is clear, I use night vision to stop glares. I like the app. Yes, there is a subscription after free thirty days, but the deals are okay especially considering my ordeal. The big deal I might get covers ten cameras for less than two hundred dollars a year. Motion detection works well. I have the camera plugged inside the house and facing the doorstep and road. I can see across the street well and good visual through the glass and metal screen, so I can identify vehicles but maybe not the license plates, unless I don't have it at the best setting yet. I had to try a couple times for intial wifi connection at first setup since I'm a novice. I haven't had any problems for thirty days, the internet seems to be doing its job. Having a couple of battery operated, non wifi cameras would be a good idea in the case of an outage. I am still learning the features but I'm happy with the buy. The camera has two way audio so you can communicate or give an alert sound. Sound is picked up well on the camera. Sorry I posted no pictures, I haven't stationed the camera in the right spot so it's not stable. Stay safe, wish me luck!

I waited several months to write this so I could verify stability and reliability. I can't say enough good things about this little device: it's an absolute superb value, does exactly what a basic cam ought to do, and then some more. My priorities are the basics: decent image quality, NO cloud/subscription commitments, local storage, simple setup, wifi and notification reliability, schedules, no marketing ads, and a lightweight app and Tapo checks all these boxes. I started out 8 years ago with that original vendor; they've lost their vision and reliability, I'm replacing all my 10 or devices with the various Tapo models.
