The curling iron is BIG so I'd recommend wearing heat resistant gloves if you’re new to curling irons this size. It also might not be ideal to travel with but great to keep on my bathroom counter. Still, I love it to much that I take it everywhere with me!! The heat resistance on my hair has been good so far, with no damage when used properly. I use a heat protectant every time I use it. Learning curve- This curling iron is heavy and a little bit awkward but once you get over the learning curve it does an amazing job The rod heats quickly You can pick your temperature. I am 54 years old so getting my hair to look healthy with a beautiful shine after curling can sometimes be challenging but this iron nails it.
