I mainly use a Kindle but needed something to read books on Hoopla. This is a great little device, though I needed help from AI in order to get all the settings the way I needed them--to be able to have the side buttons page forward and backward, etc. They are light, text is readable, battery life is definitely less than a Kindle, I had to recharge after 3 nights of usage. The other issue is that I have a very small hand and it was hard to hold onto it and press the side buttons so I bought a gripping handle to clip on it so I could have it attached to my hand and use my fingers to work the buttons. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0F48NWXV8?ref_=ppx_hzsearch_conn_dt_b_fed_asin_title_2&th=1.It was expensive but worth it for the convenience and will be great for travel.

I wanted an ereader to easily throw in my purse. My Boox Page is a bit too large for my bag so this was the perfect compromise. It has a lot of features but honestly I was only interested in this for reading. If you want, you can also watch media and listen to music. It is basically a cell phone but without the cellular data plan. This is only slightly smaller than the iPhone 16 Pro Max so it's still a great size but much nicer to read on. It's also a bit thinner than a phone. This is very comparable in function to the Boox Page. Screen looks really nice and clear and its highly responsive. Dark mode in Neoreader is also really nice on this device. Ghosting isn't a problem for me at all so far. It is on the pricier end for such a small ereader, but it can do a lot. Depending on your usage, I do think it's worth it. I don't think that I have any complaints so far on the actual device. I'm deep into the Boox ecosystem so it was easy for me to figure out how to customize the Palma to my needs. If you're new to Boox, you may need to play around a bit or watch some videos to find what works best for you. Straight out of the box, it didn't seem to need too much tweaking though.

This has been a great reading device. I really enjoy the flexibility of having Android on there and all the available things to have access to. The refresh rate is good, you can tweak it as you like. I really like the form factor.

This is a seamless device. The screen is crisp. It offers an array of lighting options. The buttons are well-placed and quiet. It runs smoothly. Getting apps downloaded and running is no problem. The battery life is well within acceptable range but not amazing.

I’m absolutely in love with the Boox Palma 2 so far and have already gotten so many compliments and questions from friends! After reading up a lot about it before officially buying it, I decided to buy this on Amazon instead of direct for the peace of mind of getting a protection plan. I love how it’s small enough to fit in my pocket with my phone, but still the perfect size for reading. I don’t have a case yet and it feels pretty sturdy, but I may invest in one soon just in case. The battery hasn’t died since I bought it almost a week ago, so that’s pretty great! I was worried about the price, since it’s pretty expensive for an e-reader, but I don’t regret splurging on it at all. I do somewhat wish I bought the white version but I do really love the black.
