Delivery was a bit delayed, however I have had a chance to use it and so far it has worked out fine,

I have been using a set of these as my daily driver in a production environment for over 4 years and have had no problems with them as long as I keep them clean and dry.

Okay First I'll say I do not just give away ratings on tools lightly as I am a 30 year veteran machinist with many years as QA/QC for an aerospace tool company checking tools before shipping to the likes of NASA, Bell Helicopter, etc... I take my tools seriously and with the revelation some years back that some of the "high end trusted" brands were now just basically slapping a sticker on inferior products I have sought to find the best equipment for myself and my co-workers. I was hesitant to try anything past my Mitutoyo calipers that I have come to regard as the measuring stick (literally) by which all calipers are judged, and then I saw a pair of these a friend had bought for home shop use (0-6"). After playing with his and then reading some reviews here and elsewhere I decided I'd get a set (0-12") I'd been wanting a set for awhile and I'd just purchased a 1-2" micrometer from I-gauging recently and it has a very nice ergonomic design. I've been using these now for awhile in a production shop environment and I have been very impressed by the feel, use and overall quality. For around $70 I have yet to see anything else as impressive as these calipers. I kind of hate to say this and this is coming from a die hard quality tool machinist but save yourself a few hundred dollars and buy a set of these instead of spending upwards of $300 or more on a similar "Name Brand" set.

i originally gave a 1 star review but after using for a few days, i like it better. the action has become more smooth with use. the big jaws have .001" difference in reading between the base of the jaw and the tip due to a little slop in the slider. the display is only readable if you look at it dead-on which can be aggravating if you are measuring something from an awkward position. the workaround i've been using is to measure, hit the ABS button and then slide the caliper back to 0 and read the negative of the measurement. comes with a hard case, but there is no padding inside and the caliper can shift a lot. having said that, this cost 70 dollars, compared to the big brands which run over twice as much, so i'll give them an extra star for the price. they are accurate to within .001 (the requirement at my workplace is +-.003, so we good). i've had them for a week, will try to remember to report back in a year when they have to be re calibrated for ISO. edit: i exchanged for another igaging that seems better built. no slop in the OD jaw.

I bought these in 2015 and they're still going strong 8 years later. I needed the large 12" capability for a project I was doing and didn't want to drop $300 on a Mitutoyo or Starrett just to use once. To my surprise, for the money, they're really nice calipers with smooth action and good precision and accuracy. Way better than you'd find at HF. Twice the price compared to those, but about a quarter the price of the primo stuff, so still a great value, and you're legitimately getting a good tool here for that money. I find myself using them more than I thought I would so it's great that they turned out to be a quality tool. One complaint I do have is that they don't auto shut off so they will use up batteries quick if you don't pay attention to that.
