Italian Sparkling Drink Aranciata Rossa, Sparkling Orange And Blood Orange Beverage, 24 Pack Of Cans

I love blood oranges, so I love this soda. The taste is great. It's made with real blood orange juice and cane sugar, which tastes 1,000 times better than corn syrup, which is what most sodas sold in the U.S. contain. I never really liked the way most soda tastes until I had a Mexican Coke. It tasted so much better than American Coke, it surprised me. Why does it taste so much better I wondered? Is it because it's bottled versus canned? Then someone told me why. Mexican Coke is made with cane sugar, U.S. Coke is made with corn syrup. Even worse, cheap, genetically modified corn syrup. Ugh. Corn syrup tastes nasty to me. A big reason why San Pellegrinos are so tasty is that they're made with real cane sugar, too. This is the only thing I've ever agreed with Donald Trump about. A broke clock is right twice a day, or in his case, once. Before I found these on Amazon, I was relegated to enjoying this soda a few times a year whenever Safeway put them on sale. Sometimes Walmart has it in stock, but often it's not, so that is hit or miss, too. And the last time Safeway had these on sale, the two flavors I love - blood orange and orange with pomegranate - were all sold out. Every day they were on sale, I tried to order them online. I drove to the six stores closest to me, in my town and the next one over, trying to find them. After all that effort, I was only able to find two six-packs. That's when, out of frustration, I did a Google search and was surprised to find them on Amazon for the same price as Walmart. And the price is even less if you order them via Amazon Subscribe and Save. With the discount, you get the best price around. So I added a 24-pack of my two favorite flavors to my Subscribe and Save order this month. Now I don't have to stress out and work so hard to get my favorite soda!

Our favorite flavor that can sometimes be hard to find. Cheaper to buy from Amazon than the local grocery store. I love the carbonation without all sugar of pop. Light and refreshing over ice. Makes a great mixer too with a squeeze of lime. Full of flavor and sometimes will add a splash to a regular San Pellegrino if I am wanting less than a bold orange flavor. We have this set on a reoccurring order every month. This is our go to mixer and alternative to pop.

I initially grabbed the Sanpellegrino Sparkling Drink cans solely because they were on a deal – I’ll admit, I wouldn’t have picked them up otherwise. My usual go-to is something less intensely citrus. However, I have to say they've been a pretty enjoyable experience. The taste, while not my absolute favorite, is definitely satisfying. It has a slightly bittersweet edge from the blood orange, which I found intriguing. However, and this is why it's a four-star rather than a five, It is a little bit more "grown up" than my preference for something fruitier, and I can’t see myself buying it regularly at full price. The price point was a bit of a constraint for this purchase - I bought it for the deal. Overall, if you are looking for a sparkling drink with a grown up citrus flavor profile, without too much sweetness and don’t mind the price then this is definitely worth trying. It's a welcome change of pace and I'm glad I took the chance – even if it was because of a discount! I'd recommend it to friends looking for something more refined than your usual fizzy drink.
