Works a treat
This distiller is amazing. It looks elegant, no plastic parts touching water, 4 hours and you have 4 litres of distilled water. It’s also rather quiet, in my opinion (quieter than our kettles for sure 😁).

It's a good product.
I have it for 3 weeks already. All looks good. It's doing what was designed to do. Easy to use, the water is fine and looks very smart. Very easy to use and easy to clean.

Good product
Once you figure out which way to point the spout. If not water gets all over the surface. Instructions for that could be better illustrated. But good product

Product works great

Broke in a week
It broke within a week. Used it 3 times only before the top (fan) would randomly stop working, which is needed for the condensation.

Decent distiller
My previous distiller(different brand) broke within 8 months, which was double the price of this, so decided to give a cheaper brand a chance. This one distills as much water in the same amount of time as the one I previously had. I was worried at first because of reviews about the taste, which was and issue for maybe the first 5 times I used it but it cleared up after. This tastes just as good as my old one as well. The quality of thrones product is good and you will need to buy carbon filters because ethos only came with one. Still early days so can't comment on durability but I feel this is good value for money and looks nice in red too.

The machine is great but the worst part was opening the package and attempting to put it together and realizing that the first thing it says in the manual is that they don't provide any of the activated charcoal packages you will need. Not extremely ideal when looking to use this right away, especially when living in a remote place like myself, things like take upwards of 2 weeks to deliver to our Hub as we are a fly in only community. I will say, this machine did basically pay for itself. We can make more distilled water for cheaper than buying it in the jugs at $25 per 4 L water jug.

Love this machine!! It works really well, is quiet and distills ~1.5 gallons more quickly than expected. It’s well made and after almost 2 weeks of daily use, I’ve had no issues with it. I believe it should hold up well. The operation and maintenance are simple. It’s saved me a lot of time and effort lugging gallons of water from the store, and it should pay for itself in just a few months. I’m extremely happy with the purchase!

This is a great gadget to have in the home. My plants get sick if I use tap water, so distilling my own water saves me a fortune as opposed to buying jugs of water. Pros: -It is alot bigger than I anticipated, and actually does hold a full 4L of water -Easy to set up, just fill with water, plug and press the button -Fairly easy to clean, as you can remove the cords and wash the tank -Comes with a small container of cleaning powder to clean it -This particular model is all stainless steel/glass, the only plastic is on the outter edge of the lid which does not come in contact with water at any given time. So no leeched chemicals. Cons: -The fan isnt obscenely loud, but its about the same as having a window AC running. We are accustomed to it because we have white noise for our son, but it is slightly problematic when you have guests over -It definitely heats up the room. In the summer, that means that you dont want to run it until after 10pm when the temperature drops and you can open the windows to save your utility bill and your own comfort. -the "lid" for the glass pot is a pain in the rear end to remove. Between the gasket and the odd notching in the glass, it suctions on and hardly wants to twist. Fortunately, since only clean distilled water goes in, I dont really bother opening it, and just pour the distilled water into a jug before capping it and putting it away. -the "cap" on the lid is just loose lay, and can easily get knocked off, so it doesnt really protect your water from contaminents unless you keep it far out of reach so it wont get bumped. Definitely not airtight. -it doesnt come with the charcoal filters they want you to put in it. Not even one. I ran mine without them and its fine, but if you want a REALLY crisp taste, youre going to have to buy some sachets of charcoal seperately. All in all, it was a worthwhile purchase for me, I love it and will definitely get my use out of it. I expect to have recouped the cost of it in comparison to jugged water within 4.6months on just the water I use for my plants, let alone other uses like homemade cleaning products, better quality food and drinks, and just drinking water in general. Update: 3 Months in and this thing is a GODSEND! This is the only water we use for drinking, juice mixes, watering plants, etc. I couldnt imagine going back to buying blue jugs twice a week or (gag) using tap water. I run it once a day, sometimes more sometimes less, and store any extra in my blue jug in the meantime. That cleaning powder is something else, it works like magic to get that nasty buildup off the bottom and the white film along the sides. A little goes a long way, I still havent even used up what came with it. If you go to strong, it smells a bit bleachy, so less is definitely more. Kinda wanna buy some to clean my other stainless steel appliances- just sprinkle it on, add a bit of hot water, and let it sit for 5mins. Comes off with a basic kitchen scrubbie. Highly recommend!!

I have had this distiller for a few months and I am very happy with it. Price was excellent, quality good, design excellent. This unit has replaced our previous MegaHome distiller that sadly isn’t worth the price, in less than 2 years it died and it had cost me 3 x the price of my new unit. I like that this unit is larger has more megawatts so in less time than my old unit I have more water distilled water. The water tastes good, keep the unit clean between uses to save time on a crusty bottom, yes the pot does get discoloured but this isn’t uncommon in distillers depending on how much crap is in your water to start with. We have a water softener so yes there is lots of crap in the water. The container that collects the distilled water is sturdy, I transfer water to a glass gallon jug and keep a minimum of 12 gallons of water on hand for drinking and cooking. The unit shuts off when it is empty then you use the reset button for your next use. what I like is the on and off switch that I didn’t have on the other unit so if you want to stop the unit before it is empty just switch it off without unplugging it. Overall great machine for the price I paid, Thankyou for making this product so well!!

This is actually my second VIVOHOME distiller (I accidentally short-circuited the first one 😅), and now I’m officially a water snob. The difference in taste and clarity is noticeable, and it gives me peace of mind knowing exactly what’s not in my water. It’s simple to use — just fill it up, start the cycle, and let it run. It does take up a good amount of counter space, so plan accordingly. Cleaning is easy, especially with the included citric acid, which removes buildup with very little effort. One heads-up: it doesn’t come with charcoal filters, so be sure to order those separately for the best results. Overall, it’s a great investment in cleaner, better-tasting water!
