Worth it. Better then what I’ve tried in the past.

Need to use on pre-lightneed hair. I have a few inches of medium-dark roots, the rest bleached and pink. I used eggplant and crimson and both look SO GOOD on the parts that had been bleached previously, but neither showed up at all on my natural hair. One bleached hair they're incredibly vivid and pretty, though!

The color is amazing but it does dry my hair out!

I used Adore hair dye two years ago when I wanted a pink ombre effect on my hair, and it worked pretty well. It was messy and stained everything it touched, but the color was strong and lasted a decent while. This time I decided I wanted to color my whole head a deep, cool purple, and so I picked the "rich eggplant" color. After bleaching with Arctic Fox bleach, I followed the directions for the dark purple dye, and... it's fuchsia. In some lighting it looks like a bright magenta, and in other lighting it's more of a deep burgundy, but either way it is nowhere near the color on the label or product page. My skin has cool undertones, so I was so excited to finally have a hair color that matched it, but it turned out much warmer and brighter than I wanted and I am so disappointed. I may go over this with a semi-permanent blue dye- from a different brand, of course- so I can get what I wanted in the first place. One star feels a little harsh since the dye worked well, didn't noticeably damage my hair and actually smelled rather nice, but I'm so upset with the color that I can't bring myself to give it higher than two stars.

The hair color I had before was a light pink/fushia and applied the rich eggplant over that color and got the exact color it says. The pictures that my hair looks black is the color it comes out as. It looks extremely dark purple that in the sun is when you notice it’s clearly purple. The lighter purple shown is about 3-5 washes after I dyed it. This hair dye does NOT run clear, so everytime you wash your hair the hair color clearly shows up in the water and stains the shower. Also bc I live in a sunny area the suns rays definitely clear up the color as well so wear a hat. It doesn’t have a horrid smell. It smells decent. Also two bottles for my length of thick hair was just the right amount. I have a little dye left over from the second bottle.
