Q: What are the ingredients?

Per the label on the packaging, the ingredients are: water, propylene glyocol, oleyl. alcohol, magnesium aluminum sulcate, stearic acid, xanthan gum, glycerly stearate, hectorite, cellulose, tromethamine acrylates/C10-30 ALKYLACRYLATE CROSSPOLYMER, CITRIC ACID, isopropelparaben, butylparaben and a note that it may contain a couple of other ingredients. Does that help? I don't know what any of this stuff is, except water and citric acid. I do know I've been using it for years with no problems.

Q: how often do you have to replace? I used to use the almay pencil, but always have to throw it out before it is used because of expiration.

All eye makeup, in my opinion , should be used up by 3 months. It is a small bottle, so applying daily probably meets that time frame. I have never had a problem and don't keep tabs on it.Best stay on liner I have tried. I do use a primer under, most of the time.

Q: Is the topaz brown light brown or dark brown?

This one with the dark bottom cap is dark brown. If you get one with a silver bottom caps, it is med-light.. I use the dark because it adds more definition to my eyes.
