I didn't have any issues with Wi-Fi connectivity; it appears to be solid. Connecting to the Tuya app and then Homey Pro was no problem, although it's a zombie device in Homey with no measurements showing up. Battery life wasn't an issue for me as I leave it plugged in all the time, plus, any device using Wi-Fi will eat batteries anyway. The issues for me are the temperature can't be changed from C to F and the time is always the 24-hour format. The sensor readings appear to be functional and responsive and comparatively the same as a different meter. Since it's connected, the company could and should be able to update the software, but I doubt that will happen. Overall, it functions adequately. Edit: It appears they updated the firmware which now allows F and 12 hour time. But now the Wi-Fi is wonky.
