works well
Well constructed. Doesn't leak. Keeps the aroma of the essential oils well sealed so they last a long time. Large enough air vents so it's easy to breathe through the inhaler, though it slows down inhalation through the nostril a little. Only two small things I don't like. The bottom "lid" can be a little hard to unscrew if you screw it on tight. And when you take the inhaler out of the protective tube it makes an unpleasant scraping sound. That wouldn't bother most people, but I pull the inhaler out multiple times during a yoga breathing session to inhale the aromatherapy. Then the sound gets annoying. (Olbas plastic tubes don't make that sound--but you can't refill or customize your oil blend). All in all I like these inhalers and use them daily.

Well made item that comes with several replacement wicks
you can get a dozen made in china inhaler blanks for the price of just one of these but the quality won't be there and you'll likely have issues with caps that aren't tight and come off. This unit is a bit expensive but it comes with several replacement wicks and looks like it should last through years of usage. After long experience with metal threaded objects I recommend that when you unscrew the bottom and the cover both that you take a very tiny amount of some sort of mild oil and coat the threads of the screws to avoid a corroded screw situation, aluminum doesn't rust but it does corrode, I have too many expensive maglights that won't unscrew anymore because corrosion got on the threads at some point and locked it up tight. You can use vaseline or I had some sewing machine oil, you just don't want anything that's going to add an odor to the mix. If I had my way when this was made I would have made the screw on the bottom a reverse thread. The way it is now you can accidentally unscrew the bottom of the unit just trying to get the lid off. This is made very well, would be nice if it came in other colors. I did find one seller on amazon selling these in two other colors but they wanted way too much money for it. This is still an experiment after all, lol. I like that you get several extra wicks with it making it easier to change the mix. I did see someone selling already loaded wicks that will work with this just tear open the envelope and put it in the unit. This unit doesn't have the little internal glass bottle that many of these have you just unscrew the bottom and drop in the already saturated wick. This has the holes at the base that should aid in airflow when using the inhaler. Nice but a little pricey and I'd like a nice purple or blue or red color choice given my way.

Best DIY nasal inhaler ever!
This nasal inhaler is amazing. Well made and NO plastics! I was excited to see this product and am really impressed. It's so easy to use - comes with cotton inserts that you drop your essential oils on and close it back up. Seals tightly and the smell is amazing when you use it. I had stuffy nose from a cold and put eucalyptus and peppermint oils in it. Opens everything right up! Great to know exactly what I'm using - no bad additives and no plastic to worry about degrading from the oils. They give you several replacement cotton inserts if you want to change the scent. This will last a lifetime I'm sure! Great inhaler!

Exactly what I was looking for.
I use Citrus Bergamot oil for all sorts of things, but my main use is as an anxiolytic. One sniff and I am CALM! I was using a small bottle of the stuff, but I wanted a convenient inhaler and this fit the bill. I do not know why others have panned the fit and finish because this is very well made, beautiful finish too. Citrus Bergamot is like a solvent and will dissolve plastic, so I wanted a metal one that would stand up to it. The wick really wicks and the only pan I have is that the base cap does not have a pin to secure the wick in place, it just sort of floats around in there (see photo). I may install a stainless steel screw to do this because I'd like the wick fixed. Not enough to downgrade my rating, just love this inhaler.

Metal essential oil inhaler
It doesn’t have a glass insert, so breaking parts. Also, very easy to take apart to refresh the oils

Good, but too much twisting to get the cap off
I've tried similar products and prefer this one over the others (material as well as air flow). My one complaint is that it takes too many twists to get the cap off. Also, at least once, I twisted off the bottom rather than the top...just something that requires a bit more attention/intention.
