I think they have made it a teeny bit more moisturizing? It is no longer as pudding-like as the first couple times I’ve gotten this in 2020 which I thought was more fun to use. But I have purchaed this 4x’s already and the formula is still wonderful even if I felt the difference in the texture! That’s saying a lot because I like experimenting and trying out innovative and new creations of sunscreens or products. It’s such a reliable sunscreen and soo comfortable on my oily skin even when my skin is sensitized from a bunch of chemical exfoliants or acne products. Rather than oily, I’d still think this is hydrating. It’s summer, so I just use a gentle and hydrating acne controlling ampoule, and then this in two layers in the mornings. It’s not heavy or too dewy. It’s kind of in the middle similar to radiant looking on the skin. I’m used to a bit oil and moisture on my face so I don’t mind at all. It’s comfortable to me because I don’t think it feels anything tacky. There’s so many competitors out there now, and sunscreens are becoming better and better. But I still love this and it is my HG in my top 3 list! I just know that I can rely on this sunscreen and know that this sunscreen will always be my safe place when all else fails! Price unfortunately went up a bit though, so for the amount I’m getting, it has gotten a bit more expensive but as long as it doesn’t keep going up, I’ll still get this because it is worth it!! Btw, I got a sample/travel size cleanser from my last purchase of this and it was DREAMY!!! Sooo comfortable, produces nice soft foams, not stingy on sensitive skin barrier, and it even though it cleans, it even feels hydrating afterwards!! I believe in their hyaluronic acid! If I have the funds for new cleansers, I’d definitely buy it. —————————————————- Original: I love this so much!! There’s only one con but I’m gonna talk about the pros first. I’m back to get a second order. I have oily skin but we need hydration as well and this sunscreen is very hydrating but not greasy. It’s texture is kind of like pudding to me. Zero white cast. The list of ingredients are quite amazing. Doesnt irritate eyes. Doesnt irritate skin. The only cons, are that it pills over certain serums I have on sometimes, and the amount is quite small for the price. So with pilling, I’d have to play around and figure which serum doesn’t really like to be layered under this sunscreen. But when I’m in a rush, since I do not have dry skin, I can just use this sunscreen in two layers or so and feel moisturized enough. Better than nothing. Whenever I reapply, it doesn’t pill if I am not using serums that doesn’t interact well with this sunscreen. The pros outweigh the cons for me, therefore, I still think it deserves a 5 star personally. Best so far up to date for me. I have tried soo many. Review: It was not my best choice it is for the normal and dry skin. My skin oily and this one moisturised more

I love this sunscreen! I have SUPER oily skin --like, BP oil spill -level of oily-- and this sunscreen somehow doesn't make it feel oilier. TO BE CLEAR: directly after application, my skin DOES feel really slick and oily, like almost all sunscreens do. But somehow, and I have no freaking clue how they do this (my best guess is magic and wizardry, maybe a touch of necromancy, but I'm not judging), a couple minutes after application, my skin feels... just... moisturized. It doesn't feel slick, but it doesn't feel powdery (like the Missha powder-finish sunscreen I used to buy prior to trying this one). It doesn't feel gross at all! It just feels moisturized and plump, like happy skin should feel! AND I HAVE INSANELY OILY SKIN (normally)!!! This stuff doesn't exacerbate it! Magic and wizardry, I'm telling you. Magic. And. Wizardry. (And perhaps necromancy. Or voodoo.) Anyway, it's awesome, and I love it, and if they raise the price I'm going to be extra-super-pissed because this is the one sunscreen I don't absolutely detest putting on every day. I can't speak to actual effectiveness against the sun: I haven't gotten the "opportunity" to test it in the summer (I just discovered this a few months ago in autumn) or in the... {*hiss*}... the SUN... {*cringe*}... but assuming the brand isn't BSing its customers about the SPF rating, the "SPF 50+" stated on the label/bottle is plenty for even fair folk like moi. So, yeah. Asian / Korean beauty at its finest, right here. Oh, and this brand's Oligo Hyaluronic Acid Toner (whatever it's called) is also an absolutely amazing, awesome, kickass staple of mine! Bought both these products during the most recent Black Friday sale after coming across the brand on Amazon, having never heard of the brand before, and bought them on a hunch because they were pretty cheap and the ingredients looked clean. Ok, they were dirt cheap during that sale, lol. I'm SO GLAD I tried them out, because both are AMAZING, and I'm now going to try probably all of the products that this brand sells. I'm obsessed. Korean skincare magic and wizardry.

I was hesitant when I ordered this product because the reviews were mixed about the consistency (oily/just right) I have combo skin ( usually pretty shiny/oily T-zone) I have been using tretinoin and my skin has been freaking out on me ( oily, dry patches, flaking and oily) It’s winter and I have been applying this essence over my moisturizer and under make up. I am blown away!!! Goes on smooth, helps with occasional flaky spots ( better than moisturizer) and no additional shine/oily feeling DOES NOT BOTHER MY SKIN AT ALL NOT EVEN AROUND MY EYES! I am definitely ordering more ❤️❤️❤️

I have dehydration prone, acneic combination skin and I've tried a lot of sunscreen brands, Sun Bum, make p:rem, Holika Holika, Supergoop!, Bliss, Skin Aqua, etc. and this one definitely is one of the best I've tried. It goes on almost like a thick serum and feels very hydrating. It blends in with no white cast and you don't get the gross goop in your eyebrows. I have used them by itself and with other products and have had no issues with pilling. It reapplies just fine and doesn't make your skin feel greasy or heavy. It won't hydrate super dehydrated skin, but for normal to dry it'd probably be fine. It's cruelty-free and vegan, which is a HUGE plus. This would truly be my favorite sunscreen, but there are two things that I feel like are downsides. First, this isn't double lab verified for it's SPF. While that doesn't make it inherently bad, ever since the Asian sunscreen scandal, I've been preferring to use sunscreens that have been double lab verified as an extra precaution. Second, while per ounce this is cheaper than a lot of other Asian sunscreens, the amount they give you is laughable... For a 40ml (1.35oz), if you apply the recommended amount of 1/2 teaspoon to the face and neck and reapply once in the afternoon (if you stay indoors), then that means this will only last you for about 8 days. That is INSANE! It seems crazy to buy 4 bottles just to be able to use it for a month.... I will also make a side note that it did sting my eyes very slightly, but it's because my eyelids got oily and some of the sunscreen got into my eyes. Blinking on a tissue to remove it made the stinging go away quickly. Make p:rem has a very similar sunscreen that is a larger size and not quite as hydrating (more moisturizing), but even though it's slightly more expensive I would probably choose that one over this one just because they do have the double lab SPF verification and they're still cruelty-free and vegan.
