I must admit I was skeptical at 1st but I'm sure glad I gave it a shot. Let me be clear, this hidden camera records BOTH video and audio. The quality is acceptable - Remember, these devices are built for a purpose and it absolutely does that. The video and audio are both clear and functions well Learning how to use it is a little quirky but at the end of the day easy once you get used to it. It's very discreet and functions as a pen also. It's a great hidden camera to capture the audio and video you need for your specific reason. Good Luck!

I have purchased products from SirGawain before. The video quality of those products was very good but they were also considerably bigger devices. I was unaware that the heavier compression on video with smaller devices,like this one, leaves them a bit away from true1080p. Pixelation and blocky bleed in darker tones definitely is possible. All other functionality is up to par with SIRGAWAINs past brilliant standards.🙌🙌🙌 I understand the difference between the products and working with smaller tech especially in a pen sized cam. For that, I believe SIRGAWAIN is still putting out amazing products. Hence ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ is still earned by SIRGAWAIN. Just, As a customer, you should be aware of the limitations you may face with a device this small in any brand name. Can you get 1080p quality on this device? Certainly but With limitiation. Does the device work? Yes, it does🤝🤝 Do I love it? For it's discrete use and easy to use programming, YES I DO😊🤝, It is still amazing quality for such a small device. Not sure why so many people like this. My biggest fear was the FOV. I wasn't going to ask for a far-view GoPro style field of view with the way the lens is designed, but at the bare-minimum for almost $50, I was at least hoping I'd get a zoom out as far as a baseline smartphone camera where I can see some of the ground, and the door not appearing gigantic standing 6 feet away like I have with this device. This pen is NOT made for action, for the aforementioned reasons and also the video quality is horrible for 1080p. I've seen very old 480p laptop webcams that beat this thing by over a dozen years. The audio supplied is mediocre at best, which is something I expected for this kind of design, but what baffles me is when you're walking, it makes a shaking/clicking sound during video playback. If I'm walking along and I'm trying to talk over my video, it would NOT pick up my voice. It's a shame because the actual pen itself looks very beautiful and nice to hold to the hand. Don't waste your money on this, unless you keep it in a pen holder focused on a door that's at LEAST 10 feet away. Promptly repackaged and returned it after abou 10-15 minutes of use.

So, my first impression(s) of this product, Sir Gawain G007, was great, another spy camera on the market for people to use for good reasons and of course for bad. This having been said, it is more than just a simple 'spy cam.' Taking it out of the packaging, I was pleasantly surprised by how simple yet specifically styled and equipped it is. Plugged in and connected to a clothespin style base, you are able to use included sticky pads to adhere it to various surfaces. Though I did not see any screws included, on this clothespin-style base there appears to be two holes, of which I can only imagine is intended for a more permanent/sturdy mounting position. After getting everything out of the packaging, in setting up the camera I was pleasently surprised to see the Micro SD card that was included is 32 GB, not a minimal 4 gigs or paltry 8 gigs... This having been said, after getting my Windows 10 All-In-One computer to recognize and use this device, imagine my disappointment upon learnionmg that, at least in the ZWindows Camera App, you are limited to using but one resolution for taking pictures and one resolution for video captures. Though this device does use a different resolution videos from the one it uses for pictures, I am of the opinion that, at a minimum, the end-user should have the option of higher and lower resolution settings whether it be for pictures or videos. Though I believe the reason is self-explanatory, whether it be due to limited storage space, low-bandwidth internet connections or for a user-specific application (say a 30 second video on snapchat), being limited to strictly one resolution was definetly a disappointment. All-in-all, for $28, I think if someone is specifically looking for a small sized camera, this is a decent offering; but if they have use for a more robust and/or versatile camera, they can do better in spending their monies elsewhere.

Very nice and easy to use pen. Instructions were helpful and easy to follow and the pen looks professional to wear in your shirt at work.

First off, I was surprised to see how small this trail cam was when I opened the box. But not surprised in a bad way. Using it outdoors was only my second reason for buying it. Keeping an eye on my three dogs indoors was my first and that's why this hand-sized device impressed me so much. I originally was searching Amazon for a small nanny-cam and this trail camera popped up in the search so I decided to give it a try. If it didn't work indoors I would use it outdoors. It isn't perfect in every way but for the price it is perfect for setting on a shelf and watching what the furry critters are doing. OK, there are a few things that prevent it from getting "6 stars", one is the lens. It is not wide angle and cannot be adjusted or focused so indoors it won't cover an entire room wall to wall. Secondly, it uses 8 AA batteries which could become expensive for 24-hour use. I don't know how long they will last but they still register fully charged after 16 hours use. The trail cam doesn't come with a USB-110V power adapter. It does have a small 6.0 V 2.0 A power port but not the plug-in converter that I also don't have. I do have a 5.0V 2.0 power bank but it only has a USB plug. The instructions don't mention using the USB port for external power so I guess the USB port is only for downloading images to my computer. And speaking of the images, the file sizes are huge. A 10 minute video file size was over 340 MB and that was on in 1080P, not the two higher resolutions. The first time I connected the trail cam to my computer I imported the files and I was surprised how long it took until I saw almost 6 GB in files and that was from just 8-hours of use. The motion sensor work exceptionally fine and even has a sensitivity level setting on the menu. If using this trail cam indoors I would suggest buying a small desktop tripod to facilitate tilting the trail cam at any abgle. I use a Manfrotto MTPIXIMII-B, PIXI Mini Tripod that I bought from Amazon for around $30.
