It's small but I had it in a 5 gallon And it worked well with pumping water out.
I have to say it worked great for what I needed it for it actually surpassed my expectations.

Good pump
Our bird bath collects a lot of debris and attracts various birds. I've replaced the pump in our bird bath about every 2 years with various models from different manufacturers. Each had shortcomings in blockage, ease of adjustment, volume, etc. This pump has worked very well so far, with good flow and reduced blockage.
