Love the smell

I used the original 1989 Red Door formula for many years (it was my signature scent) before it was reformulated to comply with industry standards not too long ago. I was so apprehensive to purchase this newer formula because internet reviews moaned about how the reformulated version smells nothing like the original formula and it was generally disliked. For many years I avoided buying by the new formula and dragged out my last 100mL bottle, using sparingly. I took a risk and purchased the newer formula while on sale, and I’m so glad I did. It does NOT smell like the original formula, but it is VERY VERY close. Overall, this formula has the same classic Red Door fragrance. You smell the floral notes at first, then the subtle woody notes come through underneath. I absolutely hate floral, sweet perfumes because they make me feel sick. However, Red Door has always had the right combination to captivate my senses. I am super impressed! If you have ever been a Red Door fan, I can’t promise you will like this reformulation. However, I guarantee it is very close and that’s a promise. Take a risk and purchase. It’s truly beautiful and should be a staple perfume for every woman ❤️
