My PS4 suddenly stopped working. Once I identified that the internal drive had to be replaced this is the product highly recommended. It's affordable and easy to install but more importantly it fits and had me back online in no time.

This was a refurbished product and I was not looking for something expensive as I was upgrading my old PS3. Installed it and it works perfectly. If you are looking to get a PS3 CFW and are running on a version 4.90 don’t do it until a HFW has been released. As of today (03/10) a new CFW has been released but no HCW.

I purchased several of these drives for a NAS build. After inconsistent behavior of the ZFS array I ran various tests on the drives. One failed a long erase w/ bad blocks. Customer service was fast and friendly via email and they replaced the drive quickly. It's also reassuring that the warranty for the drives is longer than some manufacturers' new drives. The drives have run problem free for a while now and periodic S.M.A.R.T. testing has found no further errors on the original drives or the replacement drive.

I've always found Western Digital hard drives to be reliable and generally a good value. Bought this to replace a crashed hard drive in a Mac Mini. It's only been about two weeks, but so far working well. I was not put off by the fact that it says "refurbished". So far I've been lucky with these, and they are considerably less than the price of "new". This particular one was already partitioned and formatted, but easy enough to reformat. Other reviewers have complained these are excessively noisy. Maybe they all work in soundproof rooms, I hardly hear it.

I almost always buy Western Digital hard drives but not anymore. Their cloning software is junk. I bought one of these drives to upgrade from a 128 gb to a 250 gb and spent two weeks trying to get it to work. The Acronis WD software is just horrible and never worked for me! It would say it worked but the drive would not boot. I finally gave up and bought a 250 gb Samsung 860 EVO M.2. I received it, downloaded their software, the Migration Software not the Magician Software, loaded the old 128 gb drive in a $15.99 USB M.2 holder that I purchased from Amazon and it worked. When it was complete I switched M.2's and my system booted the first time. Many thanks to Samsung for providing good software to support their products. Sorry Western Digital but I think technology has passed by Acronis and you are lagging behind with them!!!
