This little gadget was recommended to me. When my friend demonstrated it I just had to have one. Lightweight, portable, easy to use and fits in every door frame that I’ve tried. I have now bought this item as presents for friends. I am so pleased with this item as it’s ideal fir the job I do.

Bought this for the daughter who's living in a shared house.No lock on her door but this device stops casual walk ins.Gives her a little peace of mind.Doesn't work on every door and won't stop someone determined to get in.

I saw a similar product online at a much higher price then found this one. It does the same job and I felt a bit more secure when traveling knowing that my door was secure from anyone who may try to enter. It stops the door from being opened or someone entering without permission obviously only when you are inside. It is fitted in place in seconds and easy to undo in the morning and gives just a bit more peace of mind for hotel rooms, hostels, or staying overnight anywhere. I was looking for a safety device after my hotel door was tried in a hotel and this does the job. I would definitely recommend and wouldn't travel without it now.

Why did you choose this product over others?: Used this for travels and used as an extra lock on the hotel door. We had an incident last year when meh daughter got up in the night and walked out of the hotel room in her nightwear and we found her in the hallway, lucky I was woken by the door closing. this lock gives use the piece of mind when we go to hotels that I don't have to barricade the door when staying with the kids now in hotel rooms.

Don’t listen to all the 4/5 star reviews. Clearly they have only left a review after only a few days of weeks after having the item. Firstly, the item is fine in terms of its use case. It does the job well of being a portable door lock. However as seen in the photo provided, it’s cheap garbage. The rubber bit broke after 3 months (No extreme forceful pressure has been applied). This is not the first time it’s happened either as I’ve bought 2 of them total. The main selling point of this product is that it offers “safety” and “piece of mind”. What a load of bull. It’s a cheap plastic garbage product that degrades extremely fast

Because the device slips into the “edge bore” (hole in the frame which the bolt sides into) and is locked with a crossing hook that slides from the handle side out (see photo), there has to be some space on the frame side for the hook. If the frame sticks out too much or the door is recessed without a frame it will not work. It took a me few minutes to work it out first time I used it and it is a tight fit for the door I tried. The instructions on the back of the packet are so small I could not read them. I don’t think it would keep a strong violent man from breaking in, but it great for keeping the kids out of your study etc.

I've researched all of the latest hotel door locks and this is my 3rd one. It is very simple and lightweight, and better for fire risks. The others have a small button or a time-consuming screw which might trap you in a fire. This would be simpler to undo in a fire, and fine against quiet intruders. But against an attacker rattling and shoving the door I think it might fall out.

Wenn man auf der Seit ist, bei der das Türblatt den Spalt verdeckt geht es auch nicht. Wird umgehend zurückgeschickt und ein Stern nur weil 0 Sterne nicht auszuwählen sind. Da stelle ich lieber einen Stuhl rein.

El producto no funciona como esperado... El diseño es malo ya que no permite que la puerta cierre. Es decir, si utilizas este dispositivo, bloqueas la puerta pero a costa de dejarla abierta. Lo ideal o lo que se espera es que la puerta cierre completamente y pudieras colocar este seguro, como adicional, no sustituto.
