Excellent advice.
It's a very interesting book with lots of well researched facts that are often surprising and counter intuitive. Well worth reading.

Great book
Very well written and interesting book for those starting off in investing, or even for those who have been doing it for a while. Some great anecdotal evidence and statistical data to back up the text in the book. I would highly recommend reading this great book

Fantastic! Cuts out the noise and makes things digestible
Nick does what he does best in this book and cuts out all the noise for people starting their investment journey, or perhaps looking to re assess their strategy. A great digestible read

Jargon galore and endless graphs
The blurb at the back gives warning that the author is data scientist - no bad thing - the downside is a book filled with unreadable bar graphs and data point graphs - the writer throws up one after the other to illustrate what may be valid points - but not ideal for a reader not experienced as a data scientist. The actual advice arising from the book isn’t exactly original and at times hardly helpful. My personal gripe - his dissing of monthly investments as an inferior strategy - he assumes that readers have a few thousand lying around to throw into the market rather than from mostly salaries. Then towards the end it is a death by a thousand graphs - needless complexity and then the American focus starts - hardly ideal for readers in other parts of the world with different tax systems. The third to last chapter gives the takeaways in about three pages (from over 200 pages). The final two chapters consist of podcast level “what’s important in life”.All in all - it has important stuff to say - it just does it badly.
