What a great power tool!
I drive a Honda Ridgeline. I had a pile of leaves as long as my truck, that was about the shape of a 4 feet high pyramid with an 8 foot base. It was the standard yearly, first falling, sload of leaves. I have in the past required 20+, 50 gallon plastic bags to move these. I have a high powered blower, so getting the leaves into a big pile is easy, but filling bags by hand would take multiple hours. I opened the mulcher box at 3:00pm my time. I had to put it together(put it on the high setting for 50 gallon bags), get a power cord, a rake, a snow shovel (much easier to load it with a snow shovel than the things that came in the box), some bags, etc... that all took me about 30 minutes. Getting the first bag on the mulcher took a little bit of time to figure out how to effectively attach it, as did the process to replace the strings the first time (cut em with snippers and then pull em out with needle nose pliers). After the initial learning curve it only took a few minutes to replace strings and or the bag, super easy once fully understood. I started mulching at 3:30 and was done processing the entire pile (plus a little more from the drive way) at 5pm, only 1.5 hours! I had to replace the strings at least every bag, almost 2 times per bag. I ended up using 5 bags for this pile. I learned not to fill them too high. The final weight of the mulched leave is something to consider. I used the middle setting for mulch size. This thing is awesome. I wish I would have bought one years ago. I read another site and watch a yt video where someone mentioned to use stronger strings, ones with wires inside. These are available at HD so I will be trying that next. I will need to do a similar quantity of leaf removal one my time at my house. My neighbor most likely will be getting one or borrowing mine as she faces the same quantity of leaves. I am now considering finding a vacuum to pull them directly into this machine as well as considering a stronger cutting system which are widely available for string trimmers. What a great power tool. I highly recommend it.

Magnolia leaf destroyer
Okay. I specifically bought this to slay the leaves that fall from the 100 year old magnolia behind the house. So far it has been awesome. Grinds the leaves up well. Don’t recommend dropping the flower cones in. Wears the string out unnecessarily. String isn’t hard to replace. Just cut out old for an easier pull. New string is easy to put in. Only complaint is that the metal poles that go between the wheel base and shredder were both drilled for the same side. As if they shipped to left legs. Didn’t really matter to me as I need to take apart to store after every use and shredder works just fine with only cotter pins and wheels permanently secured. I love it. So much fun to grind up those magnolia leaves.

Noisy
Holes did not line up making assembly difficult it was very noisy. And dusty when leaves are dry. It did a great job of mulching leaves.
