Vitanica FemEcology, Vaginal and Intestinal Probiotic Support, Vegetarian, 30 Capsules

I did a LOOOOOT of research as to what probiotics to take for IBS-D AND BV (in 2019 I had BV for 6 months straight and in 2020 I had for about 3 weeks in the summer-lots of doctor appts and antibiotics to treat and nothing seemed to help) They all said "Take probiotics..." I was taking Florastor and that didn't seem to do anything for me. I looked up the different Lactobacillus strains in Vitanica and decided to give it a try. I have been using it daily since September 2020 (and FINGERS CROSSED it continues) haven't had BV and my IBS-D hasn't been near as bad as it was (went from 5-6 times a day to 1-3 times a day). I'm not sure if this probiotic is the answer, but for me it has been a god send and I will continue to take it. Update 10-5-21: I have continued to use this daily for over a year now and it really has changed my life with my downstairs issues BV and IBS-D. I also would like to mention that the Customer Service at Vitanica is absolutely amazing, they are very quick to respond and more than generous with their response. Thank you very satisfied customer. 3-20-22 went to reorder and I’m extremely upset I can’t get this product anymore, I’ve even tried different websites. Not sure why they quit making it, but has caused me extreme stress trying to find similar product. Arghhhhhhhhhhhh 4-12-22, Due to this product not being in stock, on backorder and hard to get the last several months, I have switched to Garden of Life - Dr. Formulated Probiotics Once Daily Prenatal (I know it says Prenatal, but it works very well and has the same ingredients and then some as Vitanica FemEcology)

Excellent ingredients, has the 3 strains you need: L. Rhamnosus, L. Reutiri and L. acidophilus to treat/cure BV. However 10 Billion CFU in this pill is not enough for me to take orally, I take another brand that's 100B CFU. These are excellent as suppository. Make sure you open the capsule as they're not designed to dissolve in the vagina. If you are looking for a cure for chronic BV, I've had success by using this as suppository, lactic acid gel and ingesting about 100B CFU probiotic a day. Try that combo for a week. I've had BV for over a year and metronidazole gel/pill does nothing to me except giving me a rash and yeast infection, and BV comes back a week later. The real reason why you keep having BV is because your pH is too high, which is a breeding ground for bad bacteria. To cure BV, you need to lower your pH and re-introduce Lacto. bacteria into your vagina. That's why Antibiotics and even Boric Acid will NOT work because they do NOTHING to lower your pH. They just kill everything. Also buy a pH test strip kit to monitor your pH level. It needs to be 4.5 or under to avoid BV.

My wife loves these. She's been nursing our son and in 2 months had thrush twice and was miserable! She tried these and hasn't gotten thrush since! Nothing else had really changed for her as far as diet or nutrition went and when she feels bloated and takes these her symptoms are gone a couple hours later! As a new mom without a lot of options for medications these have been a life saver for her. I just wish they weren't so expensive or that we could just buy a big bottle instead of every month

I asked my dr what she would recommend probiotic-wise, specifically vaginal balance, & urinary system. She is a specialist in a rare genetic disease that causes your skin to be stretchy (we are the sideshow ppl of yesteryear) ppl called Mr. Stretch, etc & fragile (I have it). Our skin & hair are incredibly soft, sometimes like bunny fur. Since our skin is so fragile, it’s VERY sensitive. This product has been not only the best, but it wasn’t even hard on my stomach, many meds are. I’m very happy with this product. I’ve already ordered it 4 times & will again soon. My sensitive areas don’t hurt. Very happy to get to stop worrying about this issue. & for my body, that issue causes a whole host of other difficulties. So far zero issues with it at all. If something weird happens, I will update. Now go & enjoy an evening pro-biotic.

Used both as a suppository or a supplement. Nice and not overly priced

I used these probiotics consistently for over two months as part of my fertility journey, specifically in preparation for an EndomeTRIO test, which checks for lactobacillus in the uterus before IVF. Despite my dedication to using this product for months, my test results showed no lactobacillus present in my uterus, which has delayed my IVF transfer. I’m truly disappointed, especially since I placed a lot of trust in this brand. Unfortunately, it didn’t work for me, and I won’t be using it again.
