Soft, stretchy, spongey material. Strong velcro tabs. Magnetic button clips.
This CPAP headgear is surprisingly comfortable to wear and sleep in. I think maybe most potential beginner users of such gear might not expect this to be the case. But I also think that most potential beginner users will find my assessment to be accurate. And for those who somehow do not, give it a few tries anyways, as it might be a simple issue of new sensations and not being used to it yet. If such beginner users believe any discomfort is actually related to a different cause, perhaps an allergy, then of course don't risk it, but instead, immediately contact the seller or manufacturer, and a doctor just to be sure. Also, for the record, I'm not a medical professional. As for the headgear's composition and traits, it appears to be made of a type of foam-like fabric straps, sewn together at certain connection points. There are 4 such straps sewn together in this headgear piece, all meant to secure the user's CPAP mask in place. The ends of these straps have velcro tabs sewn-on to them, which are meant to bend back onto the strap to secure it. This velcro also allows for, in most situations, quick and easy size adjustments of the headgear while it's being worn. The stitching is strong and durable, too, as it has so far withstood my resizing it, sleeping in it, and nightly tossing and turning. The foam material is fuzzy but still smooth textured. There is a soft, padded feel to it when pressed upon, which has an immediate bounce-back sponginess trait. There are also 2 small button clips that are meant to clip onto the mask's magnetic tabs. These magnets are rather strong and will usually stay connected. The user must make a direct effort to unclip them, or they have to be bumped rather robustly at the right angle to knock them off. So this shouldn't be an issue for users that sleep peacefully, or just have typical tossing and turning. If this is ever truly going to be an issue, I would expect it only in more extreme cases of frequent nightly thrashing in one's sleep, or in cases where the partner does such frequent nightly actions, or in cases where there may be a rowdy pet that gets bored in the night and starts jumping around on the bed. Those of us who have such pets know and have been there. While I really do like the comfort level of this item, and find the easy size adjustment trait to be very convenient, I must also point out that the stretchiness of the fabric foamy material is the main reason for the need to readjust the sizing. This material does get slowly but permanently stretched out over time, causing a loose fit on the user's head, and a loose fit of the mask. However, I also currently don't see any other material options that would be any better performing and practicle to implent. At least not that I know of. As a result, this foamy stretchy material appears to be the current industry standard. Therefore, no stars are minused for this issue. 5 out of 5 stars.

Good materials, fits perfectly.
This is an excellent and much more economic solution for CPAP headgear. The only difference I could discern between this item and the expensive OEM version were some slight color variations in the materials. The fit was perfect and worked exactly as it was supposed to. The magnets are strong and the Velcro closures are holding up just expected. I will definitely choose this over the more expensive brands the next time I need to get more supplies.
