ESV Clarion Reference Bible, Brown Calfskin Leather, ES485:X

This is a amazing Quality made bible, I have had a few, I had a pitt minion and a esv heirloom, and I think this clarion is by far the best bible I own, I have herd people complaining about the thinnest if the paper its but that thin, and it's line matched so it's really readable, it's goatskin leather is so soft and flexible, it's a great size bible for all purpose it's comfortable to hold even in one hand, I have also herd people complaining about page curling, I have not experienced that with any of my bibles, if that does happen though it should go once the bible is worn in a little, it's single column format and has the references down the side of the text, it's a type size 8.75 and a great font with nice spacing so it's really readable it's a nice size font considering the Pitt minion is 6.75 type, I think this is a great buy and you will be very happy.

In my view (and I have researched and handled most of the ESV Bibles available), I would regard this Cambridge Clarion ESV and its layout the best . It is a good sized print, retains the rich resources of the reference system first developed back in the late nineteenth century for us with the old RV Bible. The leather is good quality. For those looking for a larger print ESV with references this is a hard one to beat. Neat to handle and hold as well.

Excellent product. Beautifully bound and finished. Nice to handle and not too bulky. This is a very easy to read translation and the layout is so easy to follow. The only (very slight) criticism is that this edition was not available in an anglicised form, but that is not really a problem. The print size is very clear and the margin being on the left of the page is also a good point. In every respect it fills a much needed reading experience for this wonderful book.

I bought this Bible on behalf of a friend. It wasn't exactly what he was looking for (perhaps I should have read the information and reviews more closely before purchasing) but nevertheless it includes all the books of the Bible and has a nice leather cover and lots of cross-referencing notes

Absolute superb bible excellent concordance and maps opens beautifully Got shoved somewhat unceremoniously through letter box but survived surprised even under lockdown that a Bible is not better handled Nevertheless it’s wonderful opens flat also really helpful us one column print easy to read font and with references down the side all in all very pleased nothing against China but it is nice to have a Bible printed and bound in the Netherlands Europe as all my other bibles are printed in China.

This is a beautiful bible. Wonderful feel. Clear layout and text. I hope it will be by my side for many years to come.

Expensive but very clear. Takes some getting used to after NIV. I expected the text to be bolder type but it does read quite easily.

This is a beautiful Bible. Easy to read. Nice to the touch. Great layout. So, why the two stars? It's a great Bible to get provided you get a good, undamaged product! Right out of the box, the defects in this Bible were obvious. Several pages were somewhat damaged with creases and such. Not what you expect for a high-priced Bible like this. But, one page was so bad that it stuck out very conspicuously out of the edging (see photo)! How did such a Bible ever pass inspection? This is my suggestion if you decide to purchase this item: as soon as it comes, inspect every single page for defects.

FANTASTIC bible. Smaller and thicker than most would expect. Font is very readable. I wish the right margin was a bit wider though.

The text is readable, even for my ancient eyes. I am very happy with my selection. After researching high quality personal-size single-column reference bibles, I landed on this one. I'm sure glad I did. The bible feels top notch in every category. The goatskin is soft, the bible fits great in the hand, and I find the paper to be superb. I'm having no problem with curling or ghosting (beyond what one might expect of think bible paper). For my use the weight and opacity are just fine. All physical components are top quality: art gilt, sewn binding, sewn (vs tooled) outer edge, edge lined, etc. To me, this bible feels worth the price, because it feels like something that will last a lifetime if taken care of. I'm also a fan of the typeface, which is very easy to read and the sizable concordance. This is a bible that makes you want to pick it up, hold it, and then "take and read." Overall, the "theme" of the Clarion seems to be quality, readability, and study. My hope is to use the Clarion as a bible I can read all the way through, Genesis to Revelation, and enjoy the experience.
