Have a different shield that has a smaller screen so ordered this and it is a very nice option for those of us who use bi-focal glasses so I can see things on the lower part of the glass better.Performs well, has many settings I can set for my preferred use.

My previous helmet was the optrel crystal 2.0. Which was absolute perfect for me. If your not familiar with it, look it up.. It got wet so I bought this one. I had the Lincoln 3350 before that.. So as unfair as this comparison is, this is what I think of this helmet compared to the $430.00 optrel crystal 2.0.First off, it doesn't have all the bells and whistles. It doesnt have a grind function either. Sensitivity, delay and shade are it and so far it's been flawless. The true view color isn't as good as the optrel. The clarity that it's rated at is off somewhat. Don't get me wrong, it is clear, just not as clear. The lens has worked perfect and hasn't flashed me not once and I have turned my machine down to 5 amps on tig to see if the sensors would pick up on the low amperage. Headgear is somewhat cheap, but to me it wears well. I have had issues with the headgear already tho. Helmet is fairly light. Only a few ounces heavier than the optrel.. It seems to be hotter as well..I know this review reads like I'm blasting on or pointing out the flaws of the yeswelder helmet, but its just the opposite. I've compared this helmet to a helmet with the newest technology out. For the price of this helmet you CANNOT go wrong. I use this helmet for mig, tig and stick. Works well for me in all processes. I will go so far as to say, in MY opinion, and this may not go over well with some other ppl, but this helmet beats the Lincoln 3350 all the way around when you consider the cost difference... So take this review how you will. Good or bad. It's just how it is to me.. 😁Edit 11/27/22.... 3 yrs later and it still works . It's not my main helmet now but everytime I call on it, it works ..Headgear is worn out and needs replacing . Still no issues with autodark or with it flashing me. Still the best helmet for the money imo...

Good hood. Not much else to say

The helmet was able to be used for the first few months of owning it. It was not pleasant, mind you. But it was bearable enough to be used as a helmet. After those first few months, it’s issue after issue with this thing not working properly. Now, it’s absolutely worthless, as it’s sitting here and will not lighten at all. It only stays dark. When the battery is removed, it lightens. Once you put a battery in, however, it automatically goes dark. I have adjusted it on every setting and it will not change.Absolutely horrible product. If you want to use it for a few months, have fun with all the small inconsistencies and problems. After that, know that it will have to be thrown away.

Wow, what a perfectly clean, clear views. The description says, true-color technology. I'm blown away with the view. I'm not a professional welder by any means. Been welding around the home and farm for 40 years, and never have I had a helmet with this clear and color clarity as this one. The Cobalt auto darkening helmet I've been using the past 10 years won't hold a candle to this one. The headset is a little flimsy but comfortable after getting it adjusted. The hood itself, is a little flimsy and thin, so we'll see how it holds up. Time delay and sensitivity setting knobs are on the out side of the helmet, easy to adjust , large knobs that can be adjusted with gloves on. For the price, it's well work a try for the hobbyist or once and a while welder.

I bought it as an upgrade from my $40 wonder with a smaller view since im putting up a building, not just fixing fence.It worked really well for the first week I used it. Had to take a break from the project to get others done and picked it back up a month later. Worked beautifully for 2 days and day 3 it can't decide when to darken ir lighten. It will be fully dark pre weld contact (which is fun all on its own), lighten up upon initial arc, then darken again. I changed the battery thinking maybe that was the problem. It seemed to work, then went back to being confused. I'm disappointed because I really liked it when it was working as it should. Less than 2 months old and not functioning as it should is a problem. I can't readily find a way to contact to see if there's a warranty and I just ended up with a lemon, but it led me to the oath to leave a review, so that's my experience. 2 stars because it was a 5 star when it was functioning properly. UPDATE: I was able to contact the seller and they sent a replacement. The replacement went temporarily glitchy the other night, so hopefully it doesn't go bad also. I will update again if it does. Bumped up 1 star for prompt customer service.
