Great Camera
Awesome camera for the price. I checked out multiple cameras from ZWO and the 183MC Pro is a great one for the price. Shipping was super fast and came perfectly and save-wrapped.

Very Capable camera...
First thing to know this is an older ZWO camera model. So there are probably better options available now. Like the 533 (which comes at a cost of larger pixels if using on a wide field scope), or ZWO's newer 585 camera, which has slightly lower resolution, and slightly larger pixels, but lower cost. Know that you will most likely have to calibrate out amp glow using this camera. This isn't too big of a deal, but can really be a pain sometimes. I've found shooting darks every night it calibrates out very well, if you use a dark library you've built they don't calibrate out as well. All and all I've taken great images with this camera! It pairs very well with the redcat 51, but I've even used this to take images though an 8" SCT. I've used this camera in the cooled, and uncooled versions. Color and mono all of which are very capable camera's. The Photo's: M101: Using the 183 through an 8" SCT NGC 6992: Through a RedCat 51 NGC 2244: A single 4 minute unedited sub exposure showing the amp glow on the right hand side.

Why do companies do this?
Do not get me wrong, this is a fantastic camera and a large upgrade from celestrons offering. However, this is more of a scope to use for guiding and taking some photos. If you are wanting to take photos of deep space objects, you need to control temp. This camera will not do this for you, and you will not be happy with the noise it produces on deep space photography. Do yourself a favor, just get the one with the cooler. Its a bit more, but in the long run you will thank me. Now, I need to return this one as my wife wont let me have both.

Simple to install on the scope and connect to a computer.
Camera is great. I just tested it in the house as I have not yet had the time or the weather good enough to really test it.

It works
Nice camera. Haven't really got to use it though, too much fog, clouds, rain, etc.
