Sally Hansen Bleach Cream for Facial & Body Hair | Vegan Formula with Glycerin | All Skin Types

As someone who has tried various at-home bleaching products, I was intrigued by the promise of "extra strength." The packaging is straightforward, containing a cream, an activator powder, a mixing tray, and a spatula. The instructions are clear and easy to mix. The mixture has a noticeable but not overpowering scent. Applying the bleach was kinda tricky at first because once you cover a spot you can’t fix it no more. I primarily used this product for facial hair. I left the bleach on for the recommended 8-10 minutes but found it didn’t work since my hair is really dark so I left it for an extra 5 mins. The product was effective. After rinsing, the hair was lightened to a pale blonde, almost disappearing against my skin tone. It worked exactly as advertised, successfully bleaching even the thicker hairs. However, I did notice a slight tingling sensation during the process, which is to be expected with a product of this nature. My skin was a little red immediately after, but this subsided within an hour. Value & Conclusion: For its price, the Sally Hansen Extra Strength Creme Bleach offers excellent value. A single box provides multiple applications, making it a very cost-effective solution for managing unwanted hair. It delivers on its promise of fast, effective bleaching. While the "extra strength" formula might be a bit intense for very sensitive skin, the instructions advise doing a patch test, which is a crucial step to avoid any severe irritation. This body hair bleach is a great foundational product for eyebrow lightening. It’s easy to use for beginners but can also be enhanced with some advanced knowledge. I have dark brown 3B/3C textured hair that I highlight. In an attempt to soften my facial features I decided to use this bleach to lighten my eyebrows for better flow with my hair. I left this product on for 7 minutes and achieved three shades of even lift. Ultimately I thought the ends of my brows were too light. I used blue shampoo and a blue hair toner to bring down my brows one level. The toner and shampoo are the products I use to maintain my highlights. If you decide to tone your brows down a level keep in mind over time face wash will wash the toner out of your brows, so be sure to periodically reapply toner to maintain results. My application was as follows: 1: Cleanse eyebrows. 2: Mix product 1:1 ratio. 3: Apply product to hair with spatula, then use a disposable eyelash spoolie to brush product through. 4: Cover with cling film to promote even lightening ( the cling film helps the bleach heat evenly which makes the color lift more consistent). 5: Leave on for desired time (I could generally see the hair color without doing a patch check but you can if you want too). 6: Rinse product out with warm water and wash with a clarifying soap or shampoo (the warm water ensures all product is washed from the follicle of the hair shaft and allows the cleansing shampoo to penetrate). 7: Rinse clarifying product with cool water and then process as desired (cool water will seal the follicle you can also finish with hair oil to soften and nourish post processing) Optional Steps 8: Work blue shampoo into the brows and let sit for 5 minutes. 9: Use cool water to wash shampoo out. 10: Spray toner into two drops of hair oil (I used Moroccan oil) and work through the brows

I’ve been using this product for about two weeks now and really like how gentle it feels on my skin. It doesn’t burn or dry out my face like some other treatments do. The scent is mild, and the texture is smooth and easy to apply. I noticed a visible difference in my skin clarity within a few days — breakouts are less frequent, and my skin looks healthier. Only reason I’m giving 4 stars instead of 5 is because it takes consistent use to see results — not an overnight fix. But overall, it’s a great product and worth trying!

This works well keeping facial hair lightened so there is no noticeable hair. Have to use every week, but those with lighter hair won't.

Used to use regular bleach on my arms and let me tell you this stuff is nice. It smells better, works just as fast, and you only get a little bubbly bleach feeling. I have almost black hair and in like 5-6 mins it turned blonde. Wayyyy more bearable and I didn’t get a skin reaction 10/10

The only good thing I can say about it is that you get a lot of product, however the product is quite unusable. I’ve been bleaching my eyebrows for quite some time now with hair bleach and I figured this would be a healither option. This is one of the top results for eyebrow bleach but it is anything but for your brows! I found that out triple checking the warning after it was already on my face (I know I should’ve read beforehand). Stupidly I decided to keep it on my face which was a horrible mistake. Checking at 5 minutes and my usual 8 minutes my brows were still fully black. I figured I wouldn’t die if I left it on for 15 minutes total but that was an even worse mistake. If I thought this stuff burned at 5 minutes I underestimated the burn now even after a cold compress. Don’t be like me and use this unless you enjoy bleach damage without any lightening.

The product itself is good, and it smells nice. But my god, did they have to pack it in a flimsy bag? It came all crushed. Also, the mixing spatula is missing.

Ich hatte etwas Respekt vor dem Produkt, da ich Bleichmitteln eher sehr skeptisch gegenüber stehe... Meine Haut hat die inzwischen mehrmaligen Anwendungen aber immer sehr gut überstanden, obwohl ich zu Neurodermitis neige. Man darf es eben nicht zu lang drauf lassen und sollte vorher eine empfindliche Stelle mit dem Mittel testen. Ich habe es sogar schon wieder nachbestellt, weil es doch eine sehr gute Alternative zum ständigen Rasieren darstellt. Die Haut ist nach der Anwendung ganz leicht heller als vorher, das verschwindet aber nach einigen Stunden. Die Haare am Arm oder im Gesicht sind langanhaltend aufgehellt und damit quasi unsichtbar, obwohl meine natürliche Haarfarbe sehr dunkles Braun ist. Ich kann das Produkt empfehlen. Schade nur, dass es so eine lange Lieferzeit aus den USA hat.

I’d like me you had been using the boots Hair Lightener cream that just stopped working entirely because they stupidly changed the formula, then this is what you need! Works in exactly 8mins and I have very thick, dark Indian facial hair. Have been so self conscious as the Boots one didn’t work for months and Jolene always made me get a burning sensation on my face so I was desperate for a product that worked. So glad I read the reviews and bought this. It is ofc pricier but I was desperate for a fix to my fake facial hair.
