CAT Quality work shoe
Always nervous about buying shoes on line, but the CAT work shoes turned up on time and were true to size.Tight fit first time on but have moulded to my feet within the first week.Solid shoes and light on the feet. A lot more comfortable than the shoes I had been wearing. As I'm on site 7 days a week and around the construction all day, I need decent boots. These I got as a trial, I will be getting my second pair latter this week to replace the two pairs of cheaper boots I had been using the last 6 month.

Work footwear for healthy joints
My heeled work boots were causing me pain, so I sought out a tough shoe with a low heel drop. I came across these and they're nearly perfect. My mid and forefoot strikes the ground when I walk in these instead of my heel, so my knees feel great and there's plenty of room in the heel counter and toe box. I work in a machine shop and these handle welding sparks, dross, and grinder particles well. The black leather and grey soles hide dirt very well and, when needed, clean up easily. Anti-slip is pretty average for workwear: enough to walk on ice or oil with confidence, but some care is still needed. My only (minor) complaint is that they squeak when you walk.

Good pair of shoes.
I've worked in a factory for almost ten years. I've tried all kinds of boots shoes and most of them I like. I always like to keep a pair of light weight shoes in the mix. These are not only light weight and comfortable they very styleish. Wearing the same button down shirt and jeans every day it's nice to change it up a bit and these shoes are perfect for that. My little toe is right up on the side of the shoe. I'm going to exchange for a half size up and see if that fixes the rubbing issue. I've seen these same shoes at different websites go for close to $100 so these are a steel. They would even be worth buying if you didn't need steal toes they don't look like steal toe shoes. I know guys that ride motorcyles that wear steal toes for safety reasons these would be better than a clunky boot. Would highly recommend if you need steal toes.Update 12-1-14: I ended up getting the half size bigger. I've worn them for a good week now and the fit is much better, no rubbing as noted above. We will see how long they last. So far, so good.Update 7-10-15:These shoes are awesome, after having these for several months now they are still very comfortable. This is after pretty much wearing them every day to work. I'm considering buying another pair and maybe the high top. Like I said I would wear these outside of work. Great buy.Update 9-24-15:I looked back to when I purchased these shoes and it was November of 2014. They are pretty much worn out the tred is gone with some holes starting to ware, one of the laces broke as I put them on one day. I bought a second pair the "pepper" color this time. I really like the look and they are just as comfortable as the first pair right out of the box. I plan to keep the first worn out pair and replace the laces because they shoes are still comfortable. Well worth the buy, wish they lasted longer on concrete flooring. For $60 and I can make it a year if you work in a job that you need steal toe but work on a different surface they may last longer.

Minimum wear and tear
I do light farm work, and a lot of walking all day, year round. I bought these in October of 2022. I've worn them to work Monday through Friday since then. Very little wear and tear. The sole is still in great shape. Great stitching. They are still in perfect shape. I would wear through cheaper ones every six months.

UPDATED-Comfortable sneaker style, seams ripping apart
These are great work shoes for comfort- I wore them for an 8 hr shift the first day and they didn’t hurt my feet at all! Plus, they look cool and not like a typical steel toe. I’ve worn these about a month and they are holding up well in spite of being in and out of snow and muck. Downsides: the soles trap every little stone, broken glass, and random bit from the floor. They are slippery and don’t have any traction on icy or wet concrete.UPDATE: I’ve worn these daily for just over 3 months now, and they are starting to fall apart. The material on the top of the toe box is peeling, and stitching is coming apart between the toe and sides at the front of the shoe. Shoelaces are a minor pain, as they started to fray when the plastic at the ends came off about a week in. Kinda frustrated considering that at this point, these shoes have cost roughly $1 per day that I’ve worn them and they’re already coming apart.UPDATE 2: I bought a second pair of these to wear only on the hottest days instead of my work boots. My first pair fell apart really fast, but I hoped that not wearing them in bad weather would help this pair. I’m sad to say these lasted a whole 2 months. seams ripping apart around the heel. This looks like a design flaw to me.

Worthy of the brand
The best pair of shoes I have owned. They are comfortable, have great traction for walking roofs, and overall durability. I have worn these every day since i got them. Construction, motorcycle riding, yardwork, etc.I am a framer, so i wear through shoes and boots constantly. Its been several months and these are still in excellent condition. I literally cleaned them up and wore them on a date night last night. they still clean up and look presentable. If these ever wear out, I will be getting another pair.
